It is going to be almost impossible to survive what is coming. Many will die.

From now on, I am assuming that all the people seemingly on our side who are assiduously, relentlessly pushing panic, have been captured by the enemy narrative, and are not to be trusted.

By that reasoning, anyone pushing passivity is captured by the enemy narrative as well and should not be trusted insomuch as passivity in an extreme is surrender?

Dave, you can never be 100 % prepared for everything, but you need to put your full faith and trust in the Lord Jesus who will preserve his people in the time of great trouble, that is my answer to you if you are feeling like you are not preapred100%. I have been prepping for years and freeze dry my own foods and do all I can but ultimately in the end it’s Christ who strengthens us and preserve us like I stated.

I am starting to suspect that inherent weaknesses in modern christianity have helped get us into this mess we are in. Christians have been brainwashed into becoming vulnerable good Samaritan push-overs.

I appreciate your time and thoughts but an survival plan has to account for hordes and more hordes of hungry people prowling the countryside. The plan must include a means to liquidate huge numbers of useless eaters that would appear at a homestead. Our current criminals in office are importing daily, tens of thousands of more criminals, allowing them to arm themselves, so that when the time arrives, they can prey on the productive white population.

Sir,
We are right there with you. That meme, of the brain at 0200 saying ‘You up? Good. Let’s go over every poor choice you’ve made in the last ten years…’ is almost a nightly event for me. The difference is that my brain is busy chewing over this scenario and that project and some idea that I hadn’t considered, as well as the usual ‘You aren’t ready’ terrors.
I used to have a nightmare regularly, with my children coming to me and asking if there was something else to eat and I would have to say no, because there wasn’t and that was because I hadn’t done my job properly to ensure that there would be something to eat.
The self-doubt, the second-guessing, the worst-case fears…. have I done enough? Nope. Are there things I haven’t thought of? Yepper, sure are. Can I do more? Always. We try to make every day count for something, some measure taken or project completed or even just organizing our kit… and by this time there is a lot of kit to organize and keep track of.
I am rambling… sorry. You have really touched on a subject near and dear, I tell you what. There is so much to know, and to do, and to learn, and to be cognizant of, and to observe, and to ensure. I imagine folks like us are busier than ever these days, and God bless them all.
This, we are actually in together. I just hope that, when the time comes, I did the right things and made the right choices. This is certainly one of those questions, along with the ‘so, your stupid neighbour shows up at your door after TSHTF, you know the one that made fun of you for years for prepping? He demands you let him in, even though he brought nothing to the table but ridicule. Now what?’ scenario that shows up every so often, because thoughtful people try to figure what to do in this case or that…
Soon, the only light left will be that which we shine upon each other. I hope it’s enough to hold back the dark.

I watched the movie Heartland on Sunday afternoon and realized as I watched the people in it trying to survive an early1900 winter in Wyoming, how unprepared I was. I think about my grandparents and father in rural Alabama and remember the skills they had. They understood value and loss. Lord Jesus give us the strength we need for what is to come.

Back to the subject at hand.
The industrial revolution allowed specialization and improved efficiency. In the absence of this, you must be a generalist, a Jack of all trades. No one can do it all, that is why through out history people formed communities! On the other hand in any disaster any prepared community is likely to be a target for local and federal governments in addition to the golden hoard. This creates a bit of a dilemma for Preppers, it is one of many problems we have facing deindustrialation. All we can do is be as proficient in all things as possible, stock up as much as possible in necessities. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best, party when you can and pray.

When I was young and stupid, unlike now, old and stupid, I thought there was only one way, the right way to live; later on I realized there can be and should be many paths. In good times Preppers are apparently fools, in bad times saviors. During peace time warriors are fools and when attacked saviors.
Most people should not be Preppers or warriors, but some should if society is to prevail.

Every one sees the world differently and should go there own way, only the young, ignorant and tyrants think there is only one way, in my opinion!
If you want to prep, do so, if not, don’t; if you want to read about prepping, do so, if not, don’t, I don’t care. SP1 is doing a great service as is NC renegade, if you don’t like it, please go away!

Freedom certainly is not free, and survival is not assured!
