I’m pretty sure everyone gets that same feeling now…. I believe there are many millions that can’t articulate it, but they have this niggling feeling in the back of their necks that something just ain’t right.
They’re not terribly bright nor deep thinking people, so they fall back onto the easy road, rather than think independently and critically. Just do what the talking heads on the tee vee tell you to do, that must be the truth, must be what’s right. Why else would the talking heads tell me that?
Even after being lied to repeatedly, they still accept everything at face value. That’s the one that gets me. Can’t understand. It’s like that one woman everyone knows, who will never leave her abusive alcoholic husband. She makes new excuses every time for why she can’t leave him, despite the years of abuse. Caught lying and cheating, he always swears it’s the last time he’s going to do it. Circular logic and manipulation makes the victim blame themselves for their own abuse. You just have to walk away at some point. You hear about it in the paper months or years later, he goes to jail for manslaughter, gets out in 7 years, kids get raised at grandma’s… She was unwilling to save herself, despite your efforts.
That’s our nation right now. The drunk has kicked the shit out of her repeatedly, and she’s defending him against patriots trying to save her. They are so blind to it all they can’t even see who is the good and who is the bad, something that should be elementary. So instead she jumps on the cop’s who come to arrest her husband.
