Nancy Pelosi is still the House Minority Leader and the following interview outlines her thoughts on cooperation with the president and Republicans. She will not support cuts in Medicare and Social Security:

The unfunded liability for Medicare, Social Security and Prescription Drug Program is currently $114 trillion dollars. Ms. Pelosi must not understand that this is approximately 10 times our total national GDP.
Why does Ms. Pelosi seem to have more power in Washington than Mr. Boehner? I suppose the “grand bargain” details will be announced before the August 2nd debt ceiling deadline or we may just have to wait until after it is approved to see what is in this bargain. As for her assertion that the United States is not Greece, the facts tell a different story.
