One in a million, great and inspiring message.

I liked that he has a good grasp on the role of men and women. I liked that he understands the principle behind the regulative principle for worship, that we worship our Creator the way He tells us, not how we as mere men decide to worship Him. I liked that he sees the fault in much of the leadership of the Roman Catholic church. He appears from just listening to be very moral. He’s got a lot right, even more so than many evangelicals who give a verbal assent to the Gospel. The problem with moral Catholics and immoral evangelicals is they both have a form of godliness but deny Christ. It is not in the sacraments or any religiosity that one becomes right with God. But in a belief of the Gospel from the Word of God alone, through Christ alone, by Grace alone, with faith alone for the Glory of God alone. True Christianity is not just a morality tacked on to a life, nor is it an assent to known Biblical facts, but a total transformation of the heart by the work of Christ that then causes the regenerated soul to live, love, and follow Christ thru His Word. This Benedictine Catholic is so close, but so wrong!! If it weren’t for that I’d say it was a great message. But as it was, those graduates heard an encouragement to morality, that truly will bring blessings in this life, as he was already attesting to, but we do not live just for this life but with eternity in view. We are creatures made and owned by our Creator who has commanded us to repent and believe and follow Christ.

I posted this elsewhere, whether you agree with Harrison a little or 100%, he gave a speech at a religious school, why did the NFL feel compelled to comment on his speech. The same NFL doesn’t comment when one of their typical players punches a woman, or kills someone while driving drunk. Yet they had to distance themselves from a practicing Catholic. They must be scared ‘shirtless’ of a simple speech.
