On Wednesday, a video surfaced of a man caught stealing Republican campaign signs in Middletown, Del.
“We got you taking those signs,” First State Liberty representatives, who filmed the video, said. “You’re stealing those signs, put ‘em back. That is theft.”
“No it’s not,” the man stealing the signs said. “There is no name on these signs.”
“Yes there are, right here,” the FSL cameraman said. “Property of the Republican Party.”
On Thursday, 54-year-old Dana Long turned himself into the Middletown Police Department Headquarters in response to a warrant for Class A misdemeanor theft, according to a news release from the police department.
Long, the husband of state Sen. Bethany Hall-Long, was processed and was video arraigned. He was given an unsecured bail of $250 and released.
