A good family friend passed away several years ago in the same manner. It was a ruptured aortic aneurysm. He was close to the same age as the German man.

Or it could be a hypertensive crisis, brought on by air pressure differences… Makes me more comfortable thinking along those lines.

Neither Marburg nor any of the three strains of e-bola. Presentation is not symptomatic of those viruses.

Not the classic presentation as described by the always medically correct media. However, some presentations of Ebola-Marburg have had bloody vomit.

Most reporting on medical events by media is pretty low information HIGH Flash stuff. Thus, my mild concern this could have been Ebola but likely not.

As the incident occurred in Thailand, and the US Media couldn’t suppress it I think Green Hornet is correct. Aortic Aneurysm blowout.

Event occurred Thursday February 8th so now 6 days later.

Otherwise, there would be a LOT MORE Reports about mysterious illnesses and such as Ebola and Malburg have a very quick infection cycle.

Snip Onset
The length of time between exposure to the virus and the development of symptoms (incubation period) is between 2 and 21 days,[1][24] and usually between 4 and 10 days.[25] However, recent estimates based on mathematical models predict that around 5% of cases may take longer than 21 days to develop.[26]

Unless this German Man was Patient Zero (injected with Disease) and nobody else was exposed until the aircraft event (in a MAJOR Airport? Really?) them a LOT more folks would be hospitalized by now.

But then again maybe by this weekend more evidence of an Ebola-Marburg DISASTER will be in the international news as the other passengers were rebooked and already have flown across the globe as well as the crew of the Lufthansa flight is still flying.

A “Triple A,” even in blowout mode, may not have blood finding a path to the mouth. It’s usually abdominal pain, swelling in the abdomen and death due to rapid exsanguination into the torso.
Possibly not a drop of blood showing but as lethal as a hand grenade.

One website reported that the man suffered from bleeding esophageal varices--like having widely dilated varicose veins in the legs, which then could spontaneously rupture.
But, in the lower third of the esophagus (just above the stomach) it’s a veritable death sentence if not treated immediately in a hospital. Bleeding is vigorous, copious, alarming and, in this case, lethal.

Interesting and sad for the gentleman in question.

Still far better for the rest of us if it’s true and not Marburg.

Tuberculosis? Or his final glyphosate reaction!?

I think I’d want to do quarantine at least until diagnosis was made. The man could have had cancer or some sort of chemical reaction, from which everyone else was perfectly safe, but before hugging any children I’d want to know. The airline should have use of a motel in every city as a quarantine site.

My safety protocol? I don’t fly any more. I avoid crowds. I’m not sitting next to strangers, especially if I can’t get up and walk away.

A bunch of people in KC wish they had avoided crowds.

Old Remus was correct as usual.

Stay away from crowds was one of his most oft repeated sayings.
