As Merkel’s comments reveal, the war mentality in the West against Russia has been extant for over a decade if not longer.
It is becoming irrefutably clear that the United States and its NATO partners have been planning for many years for the current war in the Ukraine against Russia. That fact makes the prospects for peace all the more elusive. How to negotiate with a mindset that is so deeply invested and ingrained with belligerence?
Western governments and media accuse Russia of “unprovoked aggression” against Ukraine and are clamoring for Moscow to hand over eye-watering financial compensation as well as face war crimes prosecutions.
The bitter irony is that the war in Ukraine, which is dangerously escalating and could spiral into a nuclear cataclysm, was sown by the United States and its accomplices. It is the West that bears ultimate responsibility for this abysmal situation, not Russia.
Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel (2005-2021) is the latest Western source to come clean or let their guard down. She disclosed in a recent interview with Der Spiegel the real roots of the war.

Right now our citizenry should withhold funding of any type to any agency or government until we get some representation. Get some answers. Consider the insanity here. The Ukrainians have been using artillery and missiles against the largest nuclear power plant controlled by Russia. For the purpose of creating a nuclear disaster in Eastern Europe. Then the other day the Ukrainians launched an attack using a large drone on a Russian airfield that housed nuclear bombers. Fortunately, it was shot down at the last minute. But the debris killed 4 Russians and did minor damage to a couple of aircraft. Recent leaks indicate the drone may have actually been smuggled in to Russia and launched from Russian territory. The drone may have used civilian air routes and civilian aircraft transponders to disguise it’s approach. Thus, the Russian air defense wasn’t able to launch earlier. The US and the UK have to approve that kind of activity by Ukraine. The US and the UK want a nuclear incident in Russia. And what would Russia’s response be? To make matters worse, last week, Biden and Blinken stated they would devise a first strike nuclear attack plan that would decapitate Russian political and military leaders. Insane. In response, Putin said, Russia is changing their policy of no first strike use of nukes. He said that if Russia even just thinks the US is going to attack, Russia would launch first. The US is provoking a nuke war. They want us dead.
