Metaphor: Physicist Richard Feynman Explains Chess

Richard Feynman was famous for his simple explanations of complex phenomena.

Here Feynman explains chess.  I propose that his explanation for “discovery” of the rules for chess is a metaphor for understanding modern politics.

Complicated laws ==> modern politics.

Now reflect on common law, the declaration of independence, and the constitution …

Simple laws ==> individual liberty.

The laws in Washington have taken a simple concept and made a complicated system where we are told that we are not intelligent enough to comprehend. Such as the example last week by the president concerning Treasury Auctions. Well here is a simple concept that Washington has failed to convince the American people otherwise: don’t spend more than you make.
