The DTR550™ digital on-site portable two-way radio operates at 900 MHz and offers enhanced communication options, including Digital One-to-One Calling and Digital One-to-Many Calling (Public Group and Private Group). It also provides enhanced performance with greater coverage, longer battery life and digital audio quality that is loud and clear everywhere you have coverage.

This class will review the operation, setup and programming for this radio including:

  1. Programming software installation, radio programming using standard DB9 or USB cables, and initial setup.
  2. Security features for public and private contacts.
  3. Setting up a group contact list.

This radio provides a safe means of communications using a frequency hopping spread spectrum.

You must preregister for this class and the size will be limited. Cost is $10 due prior to the class. The cost of the class for people who have taken Basic Carbine is waived.

Is this high end Ham Radio David ? I just purchased 2 Baofeung Dual Band radios which are enroute to me from amazon. Does this radio replace that or just compliments to regular digital ham radios all ready in use ?

No this is not an Amateur Radio unit. It’s unlicensed 900Mhz
