No Fly Zone Over Minot, ND Due to “Hazards”

The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a temporary flight restriction over Minot, ND until further notice due to “Hazards”.  The restriction is higher than the restrictions currently in place at the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Plant and Cooper Nuclear Station: 5000 feet vs. 3500 feet.

“Minot is also home to more than just families -- Minuteman III nuclear missile silos are also in the flood’s path. At least two silos are being protected by sandbags and pumps, but are reported to be safe.”
