Trump Plans To End Birthright Citizenship For Children Of Illegal Immigrants
In a report based on an interview with Axios set to air on its new show, “Axios on HBO,” the organization’s reporter said such an order would be “the most dramatic move yet” in Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration, targeting so-called “anchor babies.” It will almost certainly set off another stand-off with the courts, as Trump’s authority to impose such a change via executive order is up for debate.
Trump said in an interview that he has run the idea of ending birthright citizenship by his counsel and plans to proceed with the highly controversial move, which certainly will face legal challenges.
If Republicans can win the House and Senate, and the wall is finished, there won’t be any need to issue an EO simply because there won’t be many illegals crossing. and “calving” their kids here.
People fail to realize that the more illegals we have, the more our health care costs increase. So does housing and other benefits offered by the state at OUR expense.
Just Food Stamps alone, one parent and one kids is approximately $800.00 per month. Add housing and medical and we’re talking around $3000.00 per month in cheaper states. NUTS!
Now add Papa and Guido, and Jose` and Alesandra and we’re talking mucho Deniero…all on us. Double NUTS!
But the dems can’t see past their noses. They can’t do math and they certainly can’t think logically. It’s all about “feels good”… I call bullshit!
Liberal Law suits in Liberal courts before Liberal judges will be filed before the President puts his pen down.
Can Trump eliminate anchor babies? Doubtful. Let’s just hope this opens up a larger conversation about the unlawfully coerced Fourteenth Amendment, its origin, and its many effects. The concept of anchor babies is only one of MANY effects wrought by this rootball amendment.
This is long-standing precedent. Roe v Wade (abortion), Stone v Graham (removal of Ten Commandments), nationalized same-sex marriage — all effects of the 14th. The 14th created the concept of national citizenship, as opposed to original state citizenship, and WE the people hold it in place. It codified the nationalization of civil rights, and it was the extension of new states which were created for a new national loyalty.
That situation isn’t going to be reversed by any president. Ironically the power of the 14th is held firmly in place by individual loyalty to one’s own national benefits, privileges, and that far-reaching national power wielded by presidents like Trump himself. Those on both sides clamor for that national power every four to eight years. They crave it. That craving is why it was created in the first place. Until we each decide to relinquish our claim to the national cheese, put down the weapon of nationalization, and re-establish our states, the far-reaching effects of that amendment will not go away.
