you are right Tom, that is what I told my son as well. I related to him if he was to get a draft notice from selective service throw it in the trash can and ignore it, and if they start threatening you with notices just ignore the threats and go about your business.
What is upsetting is the top brass will still promote their diversity hires into positions of leadership asap. If you are a white, male with traditional values, plan on getting athletes foot on top of your head from all the ‘lessers’ using you as a stepping stone. ((They)) have quotes to keep.
My son asked me to go with him to the local recruiting center about 7 years ago. I held nothing back. I told the 8 camo dudes and one dress uniform dude I respected their choice but disagreed with their premise. I said the same thing about the 7 dudes in my fam that signed up from WW1 on including me who built warships for Leviathan for 20 years. Matt Bracken was the LINCHPIN in convincing my son to turn away from the Glodohomofascist experiment of our .mil and become a true man by embracing gas line welding. Thank MB, I am eternally grateful. Actuallly in Tampa and will be cruising by your AO tomorrow AM.
As I have previously said, don’t enlist. If they draft you burn your notice. You should not serve a government that has no respect for its draftees or enlisted.
This was a long time ago. right after 9-11. My son wanted to join the army and go SF. I talked him out of it and I’m glad I did. I’m a Nam vet so I’ve been there, done that. Also Airborne, I did a stint with the 82nd, 3rd of the 504th INF for a short time. When I signed up for jump school in basic training I was told that I could keep my MOS and I would be assigned to the 82nd ABN Aviation BN. Total BS. I ended up in the 3rd BN, 504th PIR Infantry. I was a fooking grunt! I didn’t the grunt training at Ft. Polk that everyone else in my company had. I was told that if I went to the 82nd Aviation BN to try to transfer that I would face a court martial for violating the chain of command. Every month they would pull names out of the hat to go to Nam. I knew that if I went to Nam as a grunt I wouldn’t be coming home. So I took a short. I was in on a 3 year hitch and I re-enlisted for 4 years to get my MOS back. I went to Italy for a year and a half and the unit got deactivated and then I went to Vietnam but I went to an aviation unit where I patched up Hueys for a year. A lot of things had happened between 1971 and 9-11. My son felt patriotic and wanted to join the army and be a Green Beret. He wanted to get some training because as a patriot he knew what was coming down the pipe in the future. Thank God I talked him out of it. I simply said this country is worth fighting for but the government isn’t worth one drop of American blood. Thank God he listened to me and didn’t join. I’ve seen all of the broken bodies of men who came back from the sand box and it just tears me up to see it. I’m just glad my son wasn’t one of them. We’re going to be fighting very soon on American soil. Fighting for our very existence. It ain’t gonna be pretty but it will need to be done. God Speed to all of you. Left how much equipment and weapons in the middle east to be used against you?
I would advise any youngster to not join the military, they hate you and want you dead. Do not fall for the lies.

I told both of mine the same …

as much as it pains, I agree. Lives would be wasted in lands that mean nothing, for nothing. More geo-political BS.
