Mellon pulled the whistle,
Hoover rang the bell,
Wall Street gave the signal
And the country went to hell.
The above words were chanted by the veterans of the Bonus Army just prior to the government’s attack on them and then their families in Washington, D.C. The people are now realizing that politicians and banks have led our country into economic conditions even worse than the Great Depression. The only lesson that our domestic enemies have learned is that paying off a segment of the population will postpone the inevitable collapse. This allows them more time to plunder our country while we watch. The 2 million bikers to DC rally may have been the first step similar to our veterans marching in the Bonus Army in the depression. This week’s trucker rally may be the next step.
I must admit that seeing Washington, D.C. surrounded is a sign of hopeful defiance. As the “chickens are now coming home to roost”, our “leaders” are consolidating ranks like cornered animals. This is a dangerous time as the list of possible triggers are all coming together at one time.
Today’s rewrite of the Bonus Army’s chant only required two changes:
Corzine pulled the whistle,
Obama rang the bell,
Wall Street gave the signal
And the country went to hell.
Jon Corzine may have pulled the whistle but Jamie Dimon, Lloyd Blankfein and Ben Bernanke all gave the signal to pillage our nation’s wealth which started under the Bush administration on a scale that has never been seen in the entirety of mankind: $1.5 quadrillion dollars.
For those who feel that the country is not in economic distress, please give me another reason why the government is still printing $85 billion a month to buy security from a portion of the people?
