Obama’s Call to Congratulate the Cardinals’ World Series Victory – Not

How petty is the president? Seems that Mr. Obama holds a grudge against St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa and All-Star hitter Albert Pujols after they attended Glenn Beck’s ‘Restoring Honor’ rally in Israel. Mr. Obama could not break away from watching television to make the traditional congratulatory call to the team after winning the world series.

While his actions are those of a petulant child, they must not be overlooked. Warning signs are easy to see when we look back after the impact of the consequences have been and are being felt. Some warning signs are clear such as the president’s support of George Soros and Occupy Wall Street. Some signs are not clear as in this case where it is one of omission.

Cards Snubbed By Obama? No Traditional White House Call Following Game 7 Win

When KMOX host Charlie Brennan asked now-retired St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa how the traditional call of congratulations from the White House went, La Russa suddenly realized that…it never happened.

“That’s a good point, I hadn’t really even thought about that,” replied a surprised-sounding La Russa, who can be forgiven for having a few other things on his mind over the past week.  “As we were getting into the World Series we had a call from the White House to make sure they had the correct number for my office.”
