It’s not plausible that this issue started with homosexuals, bisexuals, gay marriage, or multiple genders. The problem was already underway in individual men and women who weren’t taught responsible masculinity and femininity. Being born male or female doesn’t necessarily mean that each respective sex knows what that implies, and the responsibilities and ramifications of such. This problem was largely generationally instilled and enhanced with ideas that men are always to be stoic for instance, or that women can’t think about deep issues because they are too emotional. These types of mindsets were reinforced by churches in particular, and largely the workplace, with more introduced such as machismo, on an institutionalized scale. This was one of the issues that led to the sexual revolution in the 1960s and beyond; the rebellion leading to women’s liberation and the much touted idea that women can do anything a man can do, but it wasn’t as simple as that, but rather became a competition between men and women that often didn’t resolve itself in marriages, and as regards marital relations leading to gender wars which has been going on for decades. It’s not new, men had disdain for their wives having largely no skills outside of the home, as wives learned to disrespect their unappreciative husbands.
