Empires get stupider and more corrupt as they age.

Why are US Green Berets, four of whom were recently killed, in Niger? Why does the US have at least 36 bases, outposts, and staging areas in Africa, located in 24 countries? Why does a website, TomDispatch, have to file a Freedom of Information Act request to get that information, which contradicts years of assurances from AFRICOM, the US’s African military command, that the US has only one base in Africa, in the Republic of Djibouti? Why is AFRICOM headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany? How does anything that happens in Niger, or most of the rest of Africa for that matter, affect anyone’s way of life in the US? Why do we say the dead were heroes protecting our way of life when the country where they died poses no threat?

The United States and Niger have a long-standing bilateral relationship. Our militaries have been stalwart allies focused on working together to deter and to defeat terrorist threats in the West African nation and across the Sahel region.

Disarmed and docile Europeans pose no meaningful threat to their governments’ depredations.

All sorts of reasons have been advanced for declining birthrates. SLL spotlights Europe as an advanced case and offers a hypothesis: its testicles have gone missing.

What does it do to a continent when a country 3,000 miles and an ocean away strikes the decisive blows in two of its cataclysmic wars? What does it do to that continent when that distant power assumes control over much of its defense? At a primal level, the very essence of manhood is the ability to defend one’s self and loved ones. Perhaps ceding responsibility for doing so is not emasculation, but it made Europe the little brother who must rely on big brother to fight his battles.

Naturally, big brother calls the tune. During the Cold War, that meant accepting one’s place under the US defense umbrella and toeing the US line on the Soviet Union. Only French President Charles de Gaulle challenged US domination, and that was more show than substance. With a nuclear arsenal and geographic proximity, the Soviet Union posed an existential threat to Europe, even more than it did to the US. If the Soviet Union had invaded during the de Gaulle era, France would have quickly rejoined a US-led alliance.

Philadelphia: Terror-linked CAIR Gives Public School Teachers “Islamophobia” Training

Philadelphia’s public school system allowed the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) to conduct sensitivity training for its teachers last year, CAIR press releases and school district documents obtained by the Investigative Project on Terrorism show.

CAIR attorneys conducted a presentation for educators on Election Day, focusing on Islamophobia and the civil rights of Muslim students, a November press release said. The seminar was described as the first in a series of planned workshops on those issues.

“In the current political environment, Muslim American students are facing increased rates of bullying, emotional abuse, physical threats, and verbal epithets due to their faith, race, or ethnicity,” CAIR Philadelphia said in the release.

CAIR Philadelphia provides zero evidence to support this assertion.

If there was more than one shooter, the only thing that makes sense to me is that it had to be a professional dark ops government action. “Whose government?” you ask. There are only three governments that have the resources to successfully pull off a shooting of this magnitude and completely escape detection inside the continental United States—only three: America’s CIA, British MI6, and the Israeli Mossad. That’s it. Plus, the presence of “spy cameras” in Paddock’s room strongly indicates the presence of spooks. This is almost standard procedure for covert ops and suggests a degree of sophistication in this operation that I cannot imagine Stephen Paddock would have. Forget ISIS and all that claptrap. If there were multiple shooters (of which all but one have completely disappeared, and no one in law enforcement is even looking for them), it could only be carried out by one of—or a consortium of—these three governments.

I realize that it is extremely difficult (and uncomfortable) for people to accept the possibility that elements within our own government could be capable of such an atrocity as the shootings in Las Vegas. But any government that has no qualms about murdering tens of millions of unborn babies; any government that has no qualms about murdering hundreds of thousands of innocent people around the world in unprovoked, preemptive drone attacks, missile attacks, bombings, assassinations, and illegal dark operations; and any government that would callously send young Americans into these battlefield meat grinders to fight and die for the sake of wars for profit, nation-building, and political power-brokering is capable of ANYTHING.

It’s Not Just About Bump Stocks. The Curbelo-Moulton Bill (H.R.3999) Seeks to Effectively Ban Most Semiautomatic Rifles

While many in the firearm community have controversially withdrawn their support of bump fire stock possession and other devices designed to simulate a fully automatic rate of fire due to the recent tragedy in Las Vegas, this new bill featuring poorly worded legislation seeks to indirectly implement a blanket ban of nearly every semi-automatic rifle system currently in existence.

While the full text of the proposed bill can be found here, the portion that raises the most concern involves the following verbiage:

“To amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit the manufacture, possession, or transfer of any part or combination of parts that is designed and functions to increase the rate of fire of a semiautomatic rifle but does not convert the semiautomatic rifle into a machine gun, and for other purposes.”

The language of this paragraph extends far beyond bump fire stocks, or even other “controversial” bump fire devices such as rubber bands, pieces of string, and belt loops. The vast majority of factory and aftermarket components currently available for semiautomatic rifle platforms are designed to improve performance of the rifle system, allowing the shooter to more effectively place rounds on target in a shorter time span (therefore increasing the effective rate of fire of the rifle).

Possession of virtually all magazines (regardless of capacity), aftermarket triggers, buffers, buffer springs, adjustable gas blocks, and a variety of other components would be immediately rendered illegal through the far-reaching and poorly worded language of this bill. There is no grandfather clause, with only a ninety-day amnesty period offered prior to enactment of the act. After that amnesty period nearly every owner of a semiautomatic rifle with a magazine of any capacity would be immediately classified as a criminal.

Empire Destroying Wars Are Coming to America Under Trump – Part 1

There are a variety of reasons Trump supporters voted the way they did in November, but one clear message many found attractive was the idea his administration would be driven by an “America First” doctrine. America first meant a lot of things to a lot of different people, running the gamut from economic populism and immigration, to an avoidance of barbaric and costly overseas wars. The economic populism part was the biggest ruse from day one, a betrayal which (as we had seen under Obama) became undeniable as soon as he started appointing lifelong swamp-dwelling billionaires and Goldman Sachs partners to run his administration. Irrespective of who you elect, Wall Street runs the empire, as Trump proved once again.

The coming massive pivot when it comes to destructive wars abroad will take a little longer, but the writing’s been on the wall for months. I’ve published several posts on the topic, with the most popular one titled, Prepare for Impact – This is the Beginning of the End for U.S. Empire.
