Boffin discovers light can be used to destroy tumours in just two hours

Just one treatment stopped tumours growing, doubling chances of survival

A cancer expert has hit on a way to kill tumours in two hours — using light. The technique involves a single jab with a chemical then a flash of ultraviolet.

Cancer cells in lab mice were found to self-destruct, with up to 95 per cent dead in two hours.

Professor Matthew Gdovin revealed the cells — which he injected with the chemical compound nitrobenzaldehyde — turned too acidic to survive.

He said after patenting his “photodynamic” therapy: “There are many different types of cancers.

“The one thing they have in common is their susceptibility to this induced cell suicide.

Black Lives Matter shuts down Toronto gay pride parade

A group of Black Lives Matter activists temporarily shut down Canada’s largest gay pride parade on Sunday, when they stopped marching until the parade organizers agreed to their demands.

BLM, which was invited to march in the gay-rights celebration as an honorary group, stopped two-thirds of the way down the parade route, began chanting “Shut it down!” and lit several flares.

The parade was stalled for about half an hour, until Toronto Pride Director Mathieu Chantelois, whose group puts on the parade, met with the protesters and signed off on the list of demands.

The demands included an end to police floats at the parade and more spots dedicated to groups representing queer people of color. The BLM demand sheet said Pride Toronto had engaged in “anti-Black racism” by reducing the visibility of gay people of color in the march.

Senate quarrels over enforcing North Carolina immigration law

Image result for illegal aliens north carolina

North Carolina lawmakers are moving forward with tougher penalties for cities and counties that do not follow state immigration law, despite objections from some senators who say that could give the attorney general unwarranted power to investigate citizens and decide state dollars.

The full Senate gave tentative approval Monday to a bill that could withhold school and road funding from cities or counties that accept identification cards from nonprofit organizations or establish “sanctuary policies.”

The bill would eliminate an exemption for law enforcement to use the cards and create a system for people to report to the attorney general if they suspect a city, county or law enforcement agency is not complying with any of the state’s immigration laws.

Bill supporters say the ID cards are invalid and discourage immigrants from obtaining lawful status.

“When I have new neighbors, we bring them a pie; we don’t give them a fake ID,” said Sen. Buck Newton, R-Wilson.

The bill has been opposed by the North Carolina Sheriffs Association, who said the cards allow officers to establish a person’s identity or residency when individuals have no other documentation. Sen. Gladys Robinson, D-Guilford, said that should be reason enough to let the practice continue.

“I think it’s unnecessary at time when we out to create better communities, stronger communities, work closer together, we’re doing just the opposite,” Robinson said.

Nigel Farage QUITS as Ukip leader

Nigel Farage quit as Ukip leader this morning as he declared he had ‘done my bit’ by winning the EU referendum.

He said the Leave campaign could never have happened without ‘the People’s army of Ukip’, adding: ‘I couldn’t possibly achieve more than I managed to get in that referendum’.

Announcing his resignation at a press conference in central London this morning, Mr. Farage said: ‘During the referendum campaign I said I want my country back. What I am saying today is I want my life back.’

Our founding fathers were British citizens (albeit second class if born in the colonies) when they stood up to tyranny. British citizens are once again standing up for their rights. Why do they see the future more clearly than we do? One reason may be that they have politicians who believe in their country instead of their lust for power. Name a politician who puts their family ahead of their “career” when they have achieved their stated goals. Or even better, name a politician who has stated a goal and kept their promise.

Suicide bomber killed, two police wounded in blast outside U.S. consulate in Saudi Arabia

A suicide bomber was killed and two other people wounded in a blast outside the U.S. consulate in Saudi Arabia’s second city of Jeddah early on Monday, state TV said.

The attacker parked his car outside a mosque opposite the consulate and shortly afterwards his device detonated, killing him and lightly wounding three security men nearby, it said.

Reuters could not immediately reach spokesmen for the Jeddah police or Saudi security services.

A photograph on the Sabq news website showed what appeared to be the remains of a man lying next to a taxi.

A witness at the location told Reuters the area had been closed off by the security forces and that helicopters were flying overhead, but that none of the police on duty would confirm what had taken place.

Black Lives Matter Co-founder DEMANDS “White Folks” Stop Saying “All Lives Matter”…It’s Racist!

Marissa Jenae Johnson is a cofounder of Black Lives Matter and now insists saying “all lives matter” is a “new racial slur,”

In a Fox News interview she said, “White Americans have created the conditions that require a phrase like ‘Black Likes Matter’. Do you know how horrific it is to grow up as a child in a world that so hates you? While you’re literally being gunned down in the street, while you’re being rounded up and mass incarcerated and forced into prison slavery.”

“Black Lives Matter is not a strong enough statement for me,” Johnson said.

You probably remember Marissa Jenae Johnson from the summer of 2015. She was the lady who stormed the stage at a Bernie Sanders rally and took the mic, then Bernie ran for the hills.

Clinton and Trump are about to draw the battle lines in their fight for North Carolina

Politically turbulent North Carolina, where Barack Obama won in 2008 and then Republicans rose up to engineer a conservative revolution, has suddenly emerged as a focal point in the presidential race.

The battle lines will be clear Tuesday in dueling rallies in the state’s two major cities.

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will appear in Charlotte alongside President Obama, who is making his debut on the campaign trail and will try to reenergize his multiethnic coalition.

That night, presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will take the stage in Raleigh, where he is expected to lambast Clinton and present her as seeking a third Obama term.

Senator Admits The FBI Is “About To Ask Putin For His Copies Of Hillary’s Emails”

It is well known that the FBI still does not have roughly 30,000 emails that Hillary Clinton deleted from her private server due to Clinton categorizing them as personal and not work related. We have also reported that Russia may be in possession of those emails, and according to Judge Andrew Napolitano, there is a debate going on in the Kremlin about whether or not to release them.

Given that the FBI still doesn’t have the emails, Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton (of the US is “under-incarcerated” fame), who is a Trump supporter and also serves on the Senate Intelligence Committee, has become so frustrated that Cotton suggests the FBI is about to ask Putin for his copies. Cotton also took a jab at Bill Clinton’s meeting with Loretta Lynch, saying that his plane was also on the tarmac, and he thought Bill Clinton may be waiting to climb on board to talk with him as well.

What would you do if you were Putin?

I would wait until after the election is over. If Hillary is still in the race and wins, he will be able to blackmail her entire reign in office. If she loses, he will have the satisfaction of seeing her put in prison when he hands over the evidence.

Then again, China or Israel may release the emails earlier.
