Dancing with the Scars

For the record, Hope n’ Change wouldn’t want any president of the United States to lose his cool and change his schedule in the face of every terrorist attack overseas. We would, however, like him to make a sincere show of sympathy, anger, resolute leadership and – oh yeah! – not act like a completely spineless dweeb when our allies are suffering and Americans have been injured and possibly killed.

As a case in point, following the carnage in Brussels and the president’s much-criticized appearance at a Cuban baseball game with new BFF Raul Castro, Obama (and his huge entourage) jetted off to Argentina where he performed a pelvis-grinding tango at a state dinner to prove his strength to ISIS.

Investigation into Alleged FBI Finicum Shooting Evidence Tampering Faces Credibility Hurdles

Lavoy executed

“Bullet casings disappear from LaVoy Finicum shooting scene, sources say,” The Oregonian is reporting. “FBI aerial surveillance video shows that before the detectives could get there, the FBI agents searched the area with flashlights and then huddled, according to law enforcement sources who have seen the video. The group then broke and one agent appeared to bend over twice and pick up something near where the two shots likely were taken…”

If confirmed, such evidence tampering at a crime scene would not just be a career-ender for those involved, it would be a crime that merits prison time. And while “Former FBI agents and criminal justice experts have said they’re baffled why elite FBI agents might hide the shots,” the incentive to engage in cover-up does not appear all that puzzling of a riddle.

The “if confirmed” is a big “if.” Being investigated by the Justice Department did not prove all that fruitful when Fast and Furious “gunwalking” was up for scrutiny. Nor did DOJ’s Office of Inspector General come up with anything of substance for an operation that has resulted in untold deaths to date, including of two federal agents, Brian Terry of the Border Patrol and Jaime Zapata of ICE.

Major businesses stand against NC anti-discrimination law

Rep. Paul Stam, R-Wake, speaks on the House floor as North Carolina lawmakers gather for a special session Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Raleigh, N.C.

Corporations expressed disappointment and the NCAA vowed to monitor what North Carolina does next now that the state has banned any local government measures protecting people from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

American Airlines, which operates its second-largest hub in Charlotte; IBM and Biogen, which have facilities in the state’s Research Triangle; and payments processor PayPal, which had announced plans to hire 400 people in Charlotte only last week, were among major employers condemning the new law.

Many similar bills are being considered in state legislatures, but North Carolina is the first in the nation to require public school and university students to use only those bathrooms that match their birth certificates, according to the National Conference on State Legislatures.

Brussels’ Jews Cancel Purim

Brussels__Belgium_3599411b

Purim is such a happy, joy-filled holiday. I am in Israel, and the country is alight. In Purim, on city streets children run about dressed in costume — all week. Every night is a different party. I brought my costume. The parades, the singing, the dancing — the celebration of life — is the polar opposite of Islam. Darkness and light. Life and death.

Of course, the Jews in Belgium have no choice but to cancel Purim, but what a message. Islam crushes everything is in its wake. After the Muslim invasion, Jews who stay in Europe do so at great peril and risk.

UTAH CAUCUS: First hand insider report – Incompetence, Manipulation, and Ballot Stuffing!

The account below of the Utah caucus vote actually surprised me. I wanted to believe in a Constitutional candidate even though I know that there is no political solution. Do I believe this account? Yes.

I looked at the “victory” on Wednesday morning and the margin of victory did not make any sense. I thought Cruz would win but not by a margin that was skewed by a large variance compared to any of his previous state primary results. I suspect that most people have made up their minds for the candidate that they feel will “save the country”. Too bad you don’t just look in the mirror and stand up to tyranny. It only takes three percent.

UTAH CAUCUS: First hand insider report

Just got back from my caucus… My head is still spinning.

Check in was slow but reasonably controlled. Super-long lines. I’ve never seen turnout like this.

Got my credentials, but no presidential ballot. They said those would be delivered to our caucus room.

Got to my caucus room. I counted about 120 people there (no idea how many were actually registered and credentialed).

We elected Precinct Officers, State Delegates, and County Delegates – the typical incompetence and ignorance of the rules you’d expect to see from volunteers, but all went somewhat smooth.

…Then came the Presidential Ballot.

Someone shows up with a stack of probably 250 ballots. The precinct chair splits them up, and starts handing stacks of them out and tells people “take one and pass it down”.

No checking credentials, IDs, NOTHING.

I’m sitting at the end of a row and people start handing me stacks of extras. I literally had over 50 ballots in my hand.

[link to i.imgur.com (secure)]

We were told to mark our vote and place our ballot in a tin can. They then asked for a volunteer to hold the can. At this point, most people filed out the door.

I cast ONE vote, then stuck around to see what would happen with the votes.

About 15 minutes later, with only about 10 or so people milling around, someone walks in the room with an envelopes STUFFED full of “absentee” ballots – some envelopes having 2-5+ ballots.

I raised a question and said, “isn’t there an absentee process already in place? Didn’t people have to register for that last week?” and was told “Oh no, this is completely normal”.

As I’ve mentioned in other threads, I was in Party leadership for 6 years and no, this is absolutely not normal.

I then asked if I could observe the vote count, and I was told my observations where not needed and to leave the area while the ballots were being counted.

I left the room (things were already a complete Charlie Foxtrot at this point) and wandered over to my friends precinct caucus to see if it was just as much a cluster.

His caucus was just getting to the presidential ballot, and as I walked in the door I was handed ANOTHER BALLOT.

Again, no credential check, no ID check, NOTHING.

No, I didn’t vote again…

I went back to my precinct and they had the results:
74% Cruz
14% Trump
11% Kasich

Now just imagine this kind of outright incompetence/manipulation happening in 2000 precincts across the state.

As I left the building, I started overhearing results coming back from other precincts… Overwhelmingly numbers for Cruz… Like 70-90% or more. (In one precinct Cruz got around 100, Trump had 2, Kasich 0)

Bottom line… They basically are going to post whatever the hell numbers they want.

There were no apparent controls, no credential checks, no ID checks, and ballots being handed around like napkins.

UTAH RESULTS ARE A COMPLETE SHAM

And it just cost Trump 40 delegates.

Brussels and The Caliphate

by Jerry Pournelle

The only way to defeat the Caliphate is to defeat it, conquer its territories and distribute its territories to locals who do not believe they have been chosen to convert the world by the sword. The only way to do that is to engage the Caliphate on its own territories; to attack. Defense, no matter how successful, will not do it. Yes. Containment eventually brought down the Soviet Union without a central war, because the Allied efforts after WWI were too little and abandoned too soon, and after WWE II we did not understand the chiliastic objectives of Marxism until Central War was such a frightening prospect that we dared not undertake it; but we are not at that stage with ISIS – yet.

When the Caliphate first declared war on us, I warned that we should take the threat seriously. At that time one Airborne Division supplemented with naval air support and a couple of squadrons of Warthogs operating from Kurdish territory could have eliminated IDSIDS in a relatively brief campaign. The territory could then have been partitioned between Kurds, Iraq Sunni, and Iraq Shia according to wishes of the inhabitants; no permanent US occupation would have been needed. The costs would be moderate and the US casualties low.

That wasn’t done. As time went on and the Caliphate grew, I pointed out that the mission was still vital, but the costs were rising. They grew past needing two heavy infantry divisions and all the A-10’s (including building a base for them). I would estimate now that it will take two heavy infantry divisions, two regiments of Marines or armored cavalry, all of the A-10’s, and some of the USAF air supremacy force to protect the warthogs against surface to air missiles; their presence ought to be enough to deter the intervention of Iranian air jets against the Warthogs, which cannot possibly defend themselves against air-to-air fighters regardless of quality.

GRNC Alert 3-24-16 HAYWOOD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CONSIDER GUN BAN

A public hearing will be held on the ordinance at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 28 in the Haywood County Courtroom of the Historic Courthouse.

At this meeting the Haywood County Commissioners will be deciding on a new ordinance to BAN ALL OPEN AND CONCEALED CARRY in and on any County owned or controlled property. This ordinance will reverse regulations dating back to 1995 that currently allow citizens to carry. Some commissioners falsely claimed that the increase in gun ownership has created an unsafe atmosphere. Really? All this time the statistics prove that more crime happens in defense free (gun free) zones.

You can read a copy of the proposed new ordinance at this link: http://bit.ly/1RA6x1U

The Reasons Why People Hate Cultural Marxists

by Brandon Smith

A common misconception in America today is that our nation is evenly divided between conservatives and liberals in an absolute sense. This is not necessarily true.

Though national elections always seem to progress along a 51 percent to 49 percent opposition, with red states barely beating our blue states or blue states barely beating out red states, this is not a practical representation of the legitimate ideological boundaries within the U.S.  What you really have in America is a wide spectrum of beliefs of varying degrees in-between ultimate extremes. I am of course referring to the general public in this respect.

The top of the political pyramid is a different story entirely. For them there are no sides whatsoever. Top Republicans and top Democrats are essentially the same animal with the same goals. They may wear different masks and exploit diverging rhetoric, but at the end of the day for elitists, America is a one-party system.

For the rest of us there is a hazy drift, with many people holding some views that lean conservative and other views that lean liberal.

Unfortunately, “moderates” do very little to direct the future of nations. Nearly all great changes and great upheavals are initiated by the elites themselves (extremists in their own right) or by smaller groups on opposite ends of the spectrum (which are often manipulated by elitists). At the very far reaches of the void of the left and liberalism festers what I would call a sociopolitical theology; the cult of cultural Marxism.
