Does that mean that Obama will embrace his white half if he repents?

A couple of excerpts from the DAILY KOS – 5 October 2015:
What has to go?
All magazine fed, self-loading firearms.
Yes, that means handguns too.
Yes, that includes your 4 shot Remington hunting rifle.
A multi-step plan includes:
We as a nation, will have to let a few things slide, while various agencies supply personnel to work with BATFE Agents.
Yes, a same day, nationwide “I’m here to review your records”. Close every single gun seller that day, days, or week(s) until the audit is complete. Sold a hundred guns in your entire existence? We’ll be gone by 4pm today. Sell a hundred per day? You can re-open after the end of the year.
It’ll put you out of business? Impact hunting season and holiday sales? (Which next to DiFi’s failed AWB II is the most money you make in a year?) That’s sad.
CLOSED… can read GONE OUT OF BUSINESS.
We score that as a win… you and your fellow death merchants can retrain as Baristas.
So, now we have ALL the records scanned… and a comprehensive list of who purchased what gun where.
In their plan they are willing to risk civil war in order to achieve their goal of civilian disarmament:
Act II
Step 1:
Strike a deal with the Republicans. For public consumption, word it as ambiguously as possible… as was the ACA (just pass it and we’ll find out what’s in it) and stuff it into the next Continuing Resolution.
On this 11th day of December, 2015 this 114th Congress does hereby resolve to instruct the Department of Justice to audit all Federally Licensed Firearm retailers for compliance with 18 USC as condition of their license, and direct all necessary resources to do same. The Director of the BATFE, the Attorney General of the United States, and the Director of Homeland Security may adopt policies and procedures necessary to effect this Congressional mandate.
About those Republicans:
First, they’re really not that happy with massive civilian gun ownership, they just like the cash from the pro-gun crowd.
BREAKING NEWS!!
They like the cash from Wall Street, and Corporate America better.
Give Congress the choice between:
a) massive controls on financial transactions, killing their benefactor’s proven-risk derivative market
– or –
b) massive (armed) civil unrest when we pull a Greece and shove a total economic collapse onto the American taxpayer?
Rationed water, electric, heat, food and fuel and a 65% tax on your income.
Everyone other than a Tea Party Republican will choose to eliminate the risk of option b.
The motion will pass.
Step 2:
Federalize (“second”) the National Guard of the respective states. Just as we could send them to war in Iraq, we can deploy them as deputized federal agents. One BATFE agent to 3 or 4 guardsmen.
Step 3:
Go door-to-door with your list of gun purchasers, and get access to the guns. A massive VIPR-like sweep.
No gun? Where is it?
Who has it? Where’s the paperwork? No gun, no paperwork?
You’re coming with us… the weather in Cuba is fine.
Read the full text of the post at the DAILY KOS … remember, they are serious:
Act III. The Shit, hits the fan.
Step 1:
Eventually, it all comes to a halt.
The Nation awakes to a new reality. Your armed-to-the-teeth white male neighbor, is now gumming on a lone Winchester .30-30.
The massive number of Guardsmen and Federal Agents go home, taking all the ammunition with them. “By mistake.”
“30 Cal M1 or .30-30 Winchester, how the hell should I know? I’ve only shot a M-16 in Basic. Sarge said ‘get the ammo too, all of it’ and I did.”
No self-loading handguns, shotguns, or rifles exist in lawful civilian hands.
In certain areas, the gunfire continues, as does the presence of Guardsmen, Agents and Police.
The ROE remains: Take no incoming fire.
This is reminiscent of the behavior and consequences of Lincoln’s war of northern aggression:
“Abraham Lincoln did not cause the death of so many people from a mere love of slaughter, but only to bring about a state of consent that could not otherwise be secured for the government he had undertaken to administer.” ~ L. Spooner

Like other manufacturers of advanced military weaponry, Russia has sought – and found in the Syrian conflict – a live battleground for testing and exhibiting its latest and most advanced tools of war. The two most sophisticated Russian armaments on full operational display in recent weeks are the Kalibr NK cruise missile and the Sukhoi Su-34 Fullback fighter-bomber.
Western sources commented Sunday, Dec. 13: The cruise missiles launched from a Kilo-class submarine provided visible proof of how President Vladimir Putin is using his intervention in Syria as a showcase for Russian military prowess..
In terms of flexing muscle, the Kalibr NK subsonic cruise missile, or as it is known in the West, the SS-N-30As, takes the prize. Its debut launch from a warship in the Caspian Sea on Nov. 20, not only hit Islamic State and rebel targets, but allowed Russian warships to show their paces in delivering long-range missiles, capable of carrying conventional or nuclear warheads, to targets at a distance of between 990 km (620 miles) and 1,467 km (923 miles) away.
It also conveyed the message to NATO that nuclear cruise missiles fired from Russian Black Sea Fleet warships were capable of reaching any target in Europe.

Are we about to witness widespread panic in the global financial marketplace? This week is shaping up to be an absolutely critical week for global stocks. Coming into December, more than half of the 93 largest stock market indexes in the world were down more than 10 percent year to date, and last week stocks really started to slide all over the world. Here in the United States, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is down about 600 points over the past week or so, and at this point it is down more than 1000 points from the peak of the market. That brings us to this week, during which the Federal Reserve is expected to raise interest rates for the very first time since the last financial crisis. If that happens, that could potentially be enough to accelerate this “slide” into a full-blown crash.
And just look at what is already happening. Trading for stocks in the Middle East has opened for the week, and we are already witnessing tremendous carnage…
Following Friday’s further freefall in crude oil prices, The Middle East is opening down notably. Abu Dhabi, Saudi, and Kuwait are lower; Israel is weak and UAE and Qatar are tumbling, but Dubai is worst for now. Dubai is down for the 6th day in a row (dropping over 3% – the most in a month) extending the opening losses to 2-year lows. The 11% drop in the last 6 days is the largest since the post-China-devaluation global stock collapse. Leading the losses are financial and property firms.
Things in Asia look very troubling as well. As I write this, the Japanese market has just opened, and the Nikkei is already down 508 points.

While there’s plenty of reason to be skeptical that ocean levels are rising, there’s no question that it’s time to don our hip-waders in response to the multinational climate agreement reached in Paris on Saturday.
“I believe this moment can be a turning point for the world,” Mr. Obama said as a choir of angels sang. “It’s the best chance to save the one planet we’ve got.”
Which would be a lot more impressive if the agreement had any details about how to accomplish a reduction in greenhouse gas emission, was binding in any way, had any metrics for checking to see if countries are keeping their promises, or was rooted in anything even marginally like science or reality.

In fact, SK Arms says Obama’s speech ushered in a surge of gun sales that lasted all week long.
The Midland Reporter-Telegram published an excerpt from Obama’s December 6 speech in which he called for expanding background checks and putting new regulations on “assault weapons.” He then said:
I know there are some who reject any gun safety measures. But the fact is that our intelligence and law enforcement agencies, no matter how effective they are, cannot identify every would-be mass-shooter, whether that individual is motivated by ISIL or some other hateful ideology. What we can and must do is make it harder for them to kill.

A tedious ritual this time of year is lengthy Review and Preview articles, in which financial publications and websites highlight the year’s winning picks, acknowledge the losers, and prognosticate about the coming year. Does anybody read them? Probably not. The only way SLL’s Review and Preview will get read is if it’s short, so here goes. The year 2015 in review: SLL pretty much got it right (see Debtonomics Archive for confirmation). Preview of 2016: things will get much worse. There, that’s out of the way.
The global economy has been sucked into the event horizon of the black hole of debt. The world does not enough assets and cash flows to service $225 trillion in debt, or almost three times gross world product, and sustain economic growth. Most financial assets are somebody’s debt, an increasing percentage of which is impaired, and mounting debt service is taking a larger share of cash flows. Consequently, trend growth rates are declining, with some countries already in recession (e.g., Canada, Russia) or depression (Brazil).
This is the margin call phase of debt contraction. When speculators employ leverage, they put up some percentage of the initial speculation, called equity, and borrow the rest. The loan is secured by the speculative asset. If the price moves against a speculator and equity shrinks, the lender will demand that the speculator put up more money (or “margin,” hence the term margin call). If the speculator is unable to maintain the required equity, the lender liquidates the collateral-asset.

In spite of the supposedly tighter asylum rules announced November 24, chaos rules in Sweden. So far, in 2015, 150,000 asylum seekers have been registered; but as there is nowhere to house them, people are sleeping in tents, on cardboard boxes in exhibition halls, and even on the street. Many run away from the Immigration Service facilities. More than 22,000 people are supposed to be deported but refuse to leave. Swedes are understandably terrified that terrorists might be hiding among the refugees. The police are busy with pointless border controls and cannot attend to their normal work. It is not an exaggeration to say that in this situation, Sweden has lost track of pretty much everything.
