Warnings about Peak Oil have circulated widely in recent years, and if accurate, they are important. Peak oil, however, pales in comparison to something that’s happening right in front of us… and something that is a good deal more dangerous: Peak Obedience.

If that concept strikes you as odd, I can understand why: We’ve all been living inside of an obedience cult. (And I choose these words carefully.)

In our typical “scary cult” stories, we find people who have given up their own functions of choice and who then do crazy things because they are told to by some authority. While inside their cult, however, it all makes sense; it’s all self-reinforcing.

So, inside a cult of obedience, obedience would seem proper; it would seem righteous; and more than anything else, it would seem normal. And I think that very well describes the Western status quo.

Obedience, however, should not seem normal to us. Obedience holds our minds in a “child” state, and that is not fitting for any healthy person past their first few years of life. It also presupposes that the people we obey have complete and final knowledge; and in fact, they do not: politicians, central bankers, and the other lords of the age have been wrong – obviously and publicly wrong – over and over.

So, obedience is not a logical position to take. But we all know why we take it; and that reason is fear. The mass of humanity obeys because they are afraid to do otherwise. All the “philosophy of governance” explanations are merely attempts to distract us from the truth: people believe they’ll be hurt if they don’t obey.

We are taught not to think in such stark terms, of course. Those “philosophy of governance” explanations give us reasons to believe that obedience is the good and heroic thing to do. Still, we know the truth.

But that truth about fear, even though important, is not the point I’d like you to take away from this article. My primary point is this:

When we obey, we make ourselves less conscious; we make ourselves less alive.

13 WTHR Indianapolis

Indianapolis Public Schools are investigating after cell phone video captured a violent fight involving a male student beating up a female student at Northwest High School.
The video shows a male student viciously beating a girl while a teacher demands that he stop. The beating continues for under a minute, with the male student pulling the girl’s hair, throwing her to the floor and repeatedly hitting her in the face.

The video is difficult and painful to watch, yet students say what it shows is not uncommon at Northwest.

“It’s normal. It’s an everyday thing,” said senior Audumn Jessee.

The brutal fight, recorded on video, was in the school hallway Tuesday. Students say it was just one of seven fights at school that day.

I apologize for posting this video as I could not even stomach watching it in its entirety. Do you hear the fear in this fool’s voice? I blame a corrupt government that is more concerned with power than the people. But in the end, blame will not help us. Turn back to the Lord and act with Sacred honor.

Defense intelligence agencies have confirmed that Islamic State terrorists have used chemical weapons in attacks in Iraq and Syria, according to defense officials.

Pentagon officials are aware of rocket and mortar attacks using the blistering agent mustard after samples from four locations in the region were analyzed, said defense officials familiar with details of the assessment.

Few details have been released of the confirmed use of chemical arms. However, officials said the chemical agent appears to have been manufactured from chemicals obtained by the Islamic State (IS), also known as ISIS or ISIL, and did not appear to be from current or older chemical weapons stockpiles kept in either Syria or Iraq.

Elissa Smith, a Pentagon spokeswoman, declined to comment on intelligence or operational matters. But Smith told the Free Beacon: “Let us be clear: any use by any party, be it state or non-state actor, of a chemical as a weapon of any kind is an abhorrent act.”

“Given the alleged behavior of ISIL and other such groups in the region, any such flagrant disregard for international standards and norms is reprehensible,” she said.

The fact that non-state actors such as IS may be further considering the use of chemical arms as weapons of war and terror “is a haunting symptom of the conditions created by the Assad regime when they flagrantly disregard international prohibitions against the use of chemicals as a weapon.”

Why Does Anarchy Make Everyone Fill Their Pants in Fear?

Don’t hit and don’t steal. Absent these two things, no government on Earth could exist for an hour much less centuries. Once the state has secured the means to threaten or initiate violence, this prerogative becomes the exclusive preserve of the monopolistic state. Political science is not about elegant ways for humanity to co-exist

an·ar·chy ˈanərkē/ noun noun: anarchy absence of government and absolute freedom of the individual, regarded as a political ideal.

The definition means that rulers don’t exist but rules do. This is not paradoxical but makes perfect sense.

But the notion of anarchy scares the shit out of Americans across the fetid plain. The notion of not having legions of armed busybodies ready with the bat to apply the wood shampoo or worse at the behest of the ruler de jure makes most American men shiver in terror.

I know the A-word makes most humans quiver in fear and loathing so I employ a less charged word – abolition. I am an abolitionist and opposed to all forms of human slavery whether it be chattel, bondage, indentured, taxation or regulatory.
