Man arrested for pointing gun at Confederate flag supporters

NBC12 – WWBT – Richmond, VA News On Your Side

A Chesterfield family is waving their flags once again. They say police told them a man confessed to pointing a gun at one of the family members.

“The police went and investigated, and they let him go. He admitted everything and they just let him go, and I don’t understand that,” said Mark Wilson.

Initially, investigators had not charged the man, but on Tuesday evening, Chesterfield Police say 46-year-old James Baker was arrested for brandishing a firearm, a class one misdemeanor.

Despite the scary confrontation, Wilson says it won’t stop his family from celebrating their heritage.

“I’ve actually always flown this flag. As you can see it’s all tethered, I have had them all my life. My family is from Richmond, we settled here. I’ve got kin in Kentucky in the coal mines that have settled here, and I have had generations of family to die for his country,” Wilson explained.

He says pride in his southern heritage does not make him a racist and that he does not agree with people who adopt the Confederate flag as an excuses to commit crimes against others.

But he says he will not be bullied.

OPM Hack Part of Large-Scale Cyber Attack On Personal Data

cyber security

by Bill Gertz

Nine major cyber attacks targeting the personal data of millions of Americans were carried out against federal and private computer networks in the past year, according to an internal report by the Department of Homeland Security.

The July 2 report by the department’s National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center stated that two of the incidents involved “millions” and “hundreds of thousands” of stolen personal records respectively in what appears to be a coordinated campaign of bulk personal data theft.

A U.S. defense contractor was also hit by the data breaches.

The report did not identify the hackers behind the attacks, but stated that they were conducted by sophisticated attackers.

The report indicates that the Chinese-origin cyber attacks against Office of Personnel Management networks is part of a larger-scale operation targeting the personal data for intelligence or military purposes.

James Clapper, the director of national intelligence, has said China is the leading suspect behind the OPM attacks. Beijing has denied responsibility for the OPM network breaches that President Obama has called a cyber attack.

STANISLAUS COUNTY, Calif. (KCRA) —An intentionally cut fiber optic cable in San Joaquin County left thousands of Verizon Wireless and AT&T customers in the region unable to call 911 on Wednesday.

Sheriff’s deputies said more than one fiber optic line was intentionally cut about 8:30 or 9 p.m. Tuesday in French Camp, impacting Verizon and AT&T customers in San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department said.

Rules

Image result for revolutionary war

The opposition DC has branded as “outlaw” appears willing to take them at their word and behave accordingly, which is to say, willing to behave as DC behaves. Perhaps it’s the only viable option; there’s no more to give, the spring is compressed to solid. DC can hardly complain; the opposition relied on good will and imagined a mutual commitment to the nation’s founding principles. Events say they were wrong.

So we lurch toward an abyss. Those who aren’t being dragged are being pushed, feeling for the edge with their toes. There’s little in this for the peaceful, even less for the unprepared. The “over-center moment” has arrived, or perhaps has already passed; either way, the decisions of major consequence have already been made. The long quiet has reached its end. Be prudent. Stay away from crowds.

After Obama’s Nuke Deal, What Happens If Israel Attacks Iran?

In urging congressional Republicans and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reconsider their strong opposition to a new international agreement to block Iran’s development of a nuclear weapon in return for lifting economic sanctions, President Obama on Wednesday argued opponents of the deal have offered no alternative to diplomacy except going to war in the Middle East.

“Israel has legitimate concerns about its security regarding Iran,” Obama said at a White House news conference, referring to Israeli leaders’ repeated concerns about Iran’s sponsorship of Hezbollah and repeated calls for the destruction of Israel. However, Obama noted that these threats would be exacerbated if Iran obtains nuclear weapons, and Netanyahu has yet to present a better “Plan B.”

“Without a deal,” the president said, “there would be no limits to Iran’s nuclear program and Iran could move close to a nuclear bomb. Without a deal, we risk even more war in the Middle East.”

But what would happen if Netanyahu made good on his threat to launch a preemptive military strike to take out Iran’s nuclear plants? If he concluded that the very survival of the Jewish state were at stake?  How would the United States — Israel’s closest and staunchest ally — respond to such an attack with so much invested in a diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear threat in the Middle East?

The Future Costs Of Politically Correct Cultism

by Brandon Smith

I rarely touch on the subject of political correctness as a focus in my writings, partially because the entire issue is so awash in pundits on either side that the scrambling clatter of voices tends to drown out the liberty movement perspective. Also, I don’t really see PC cultism as separate from the problems I am always battling against: collectivism and the erasure of the individual in the name of pleasing society. Political correctness is nothing more than a tool that collectivists and statists exploit in order to better achieve their endgame, which is conning the masses into believing that the group mind is real and that the individual mind is fiction.

Last year, I covered the PC issue in my article “The Twisted Motives Behind Political Correctness.” I believe I analyzed the bulk of the issue extensively. However, the times are changing at a pace that boggles the mind; and this is by design. So, it may be necessary to square off against this monstrosity once again.

In order to better examine the true insanity of what many people now term “social justice warriors,” I must study a few aspects of that strange movement separately. First, let’s take a brief look at the mindset of your average social justice circus clown so that we might better understand what makes him/her/it tick.

Rebel Without A Legitimate Cause

I spent several years (up until 2004, when I woke up from the false paradigm madness) as a Democrat. And before anyone judges that particular decision, I would suggest they keep in mind the outright fascist brothel for the military-industrial complex the Republican Party had become at that point and remains to this day. Almost every stepping stone that Barack Obama is using today to eradicate the Constitution was set in place by the Bush dynasty, including the Authorization Of Military Force, which was the foundation for the National Defence Authorization Act and the legal precedence for indefinite detention without trial of ANY person (including an American citizen) accused of terrorism by the president of the U.S., as well as the use of assassination by executive order and the implementation of mass electronic surveillance without warrant.

White House Cuts 2015 GDP Outlook By 33%

Despite President Obama’s hubris over the ‘recovery’, his crowing about the jobs record, and his insistence that while “there’s more to be done,” everything is awesome, The White House just took the meat-cleaver to its US economic growth forecasts…cutting 2015 growth from 3% to 2%. That was not all though as their forecasts see no recession until at least 2025, unemployment under 5.0% for at least the next decade, stable inflation for 10 years, and last but not least – a 3-month T-Bill rate of over 3% within the next few years.

So growth is going to drop… but there’ll be no rise in unemployment, rates will surge but there will be no inflation outbreak, and trend growth now appears to be just 2.3%…

How Long Before You Resist?

christian mercenary

I have been waiting a long time for people in this community to decide that enough is enough and contact me with plans to do something in the face of the continual abuses of the federal government. I don’t know what it takes to motivate resistance. We are witnessing the absolute destruction of our society and I know there are those out there who deplore the changes taking place in our society, but none who are motivated to act.

I know there are those who are thinking locally and who are developing strong communication systems, who are busy building the skills of their tribe. And while that is absolutely commendable and to be honest, one of the systems upon which I will rely when the SHTF, there needs to be more.  There needs to be an actual resistance, an actual leader who is willing to stand up, with the weight of those dedicated to liberty and confront the actions being taken in our name.

Our federal debt has been frozen at just over $18 trillion. $18 trillion.  We have our government planning: taking actual steps and planning to “bail in” the banks when the next financial crisis hits. WHEN, not if, the next banking crisis erupts. In other words, they plan to take your money, your wages for your hard work, and apply it to their bad debts, their bad investments.  They will take the wages you have earned with your labor and give it to the banks to keep them solvent. At what point do you look in the mirror and say that this is wrong and that you will do something about it? How ugly does it have to get? How screwed to you have to be to resist the rapist?
