All problems, all crises, have at least one solution, if not many solutions. There is no such thing as an unwinnable scenario. Some may not be smart enough or courageous enough to see it, but the solution is always there, waiting to be discovered. The only fight that cannot be won is the fight in which the enemy makes all the rules and we foolishly abide by those rules. Life is not a game of chess, and a man can choose to be more than a pawn anytime he has the guts to do so.

In the past, I have likened the liberty movement to a rebellion against not just tyrants but the game itself – a group of people willing to walk away from the chess board and make their own rules. I stand by that assertion. However, simply walking away is not enough; we must also be willing to take actions that will destroy the game entirely.

In order to accomplish this task, any rebellion against corruption of power must be self-critical – more self-critical of its own weaknesses than opposing propagandists could ever be. Most of our problems as a society are being caused by a relatively small number of elitists, but we will never be able to undo these problems without understanding our weaknesses as much as the enemy’s weaknesses. In this final installment of my six-part series, I will talk about REAL solutions to the inevitable economic implosion in front of us, but I will also discuss the shortcomings of the liberty movement as an obstacle to the success of those solutions.

Perhaps the most detrimental of weaknesses within the Liberty Movement is a propensity of some to demand action by others before they take action themselves.  Not all solutions require a synchronized mass movement led by top-down leadership.  Often the best solutions are implemented by individuals and small groups within the local sphere.  One man alone may not be able to change the entire world, but each individual can change the immediate world around him in smaller ways each day.  Activists need to stop concerning themselves with what everyone else is doing and worry more about what THEY are doing to derail tyranny.

Have you bought something that you think you will need at some point in the future and left it in its plastic wrapping? It could be a compass, small water filter or even a medical kit. I call this living in the plastic.

I also use this term to describe people who have purchased a firearm and ammunition only to put them in a safe for “later”. My broader definition of living in the plastic is simple: buying some thing which has instructions or needs training to use effectively but you do not read the instructions or train with the tool ahead of time.

How often have you bought a book but not read it? I doubt that I will ever be able to read all of the books that I have purchased but I highly recommend Battlefield America by John Whitehead and The Survival Group Handbook: How to Plan, Organize and Lead People For a Short or Long Term Survival Situation by Charley Hogwood.

I have seen several examples where someone has purchased an AR-15 rifle and put it away for later. When “later” came in the form of rifle training, the rifle jammed on the first shot. Causes were: carrier bolt not lubricated, lacquered rounds and reloads bought at a flea market. The consequence of living in the plastic in this case can result in death and the possible passage of a rifle into the hands of the “enemy”.

Another case of living in the plastic concerns personal relationships. Are you basing your future security on the expectation that when the SHTF occurs, people will rise up to what the situation requires and that you will be able to count on them? This is a fallacy that also has consequences that can result in death. If you cannot count on them now, are you willing to risk your children’s lives on them in the future?

The last case of living in the plastic or more commonly known as “normalcy bias” is the ballot box option. People want to believe that everything will work out if we just vote for good politicians. After the last election where the Republicans took control of the Senate and kept control of the House, we know that there is no solution at the ballot box. History shows that the next option for us to regain our freedom is the cartridge box. If you believe this, ask people whom you are willing to trust if they believe that the ballot box has been replaced by the cartridge box. When you see the look of incredulity on their face, you will know if they are living in the plastic. You can bring them out of the plastic with one statement: You may not believe it but the federal government believes in the cartridge box solution as shown by the massive amount of ammunition that they are buying.

The Department of Justice is seeking to purchase 95,000 rounds of 9mm hollow-point bullets and has posted online a solicitation that requires bids to be submitted by April 30.

While such bullets often are used in law enforcement, the federal government’s bulk purchase of ammunition in recent years, including a proposal to buy 1.6 billion bullets, has raised concerns about the government’s need for such supplies.

Eyebrows go even higher when the federal government seeks to purchase hollow points, an expanding bullet with a hollow tip designed for “maximizing tissue damage and blood loss or shock,” according to an online explanation.

The current solicitation, posted at FBO.gov, is for the Department of Justice’s Bureau of Prisons. In addition to the specified 95,000 rounds of “9 mm Lugar Jacketed Hollow Point 115 Grain” bullets, it also seeks 46,000 rounds of .223 caliber 55 grain full metal jacket bullets and 4,750 rounds of 12 gauge shotgun shells.

The Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C., is reportedly investigating a photo of Reps. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and Ken Buck (R-Colo.) holding an AR-15 rifle in a House office building.

A spokesman with the D.C. attorney general’s office told The Hill that being in possession of the gun on Capitol Hill could be a violation of local gun laws.

The issue has since been “referred to the Metropolitan Police Department for further investigation,” according to the spokesman.

“It is illegal to possess an AR-15 in the District,” he later added.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) was created in Iraq in 2006 “under the supervision of the Americans,” Syrian President Bashar al-Assad told French television in an interview broadcast on Monday.

With the civil war in its fifth year, Assad presented a customarily defiant face in the interview with France 2 TV, denying using chemical weapons or “barrel bombs” against his foes, denying that Iranian troops were fighting in support of his regime, and accusing the West and regional Arab states of supporting the infiltration of terrorists into Syria.

Asked whether he had helped ISIS to emerge in order to present himself as “a shield” against the terrorists, Assad bristled.

“ISIS was created in Iraq in 2006 under the supervision of the Americans,” he said, according to a transcript provided by the official SANA news agency. “I wasn’t controlling Iraq. The Americans controlled Iraq, and ISIS came from Iraq to Syria, because chaos is contagious.”

US and Iran headed for a naval face-off over Yemen following the announcement Monday night that the USS Theodore Roosevelt, known as “The Big Stick,” was on its way to the Gulf of Aden to join the American naval force of nine warships building up to intercept any Iranian vessels carrying arms for Yemen’s Houthi rebels. The Roosevelt Strike Group 12 was dispatched from the Persian Gulf to head off an Iranian naval armada of 8-9 vessels on its way to the Gulf of Aden with fresh military supplies for the rebels.

The Roosevelt carrier is accompanied by US Navy destroyers and other vessels, including the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy. The US warships are carrying teams able to board and search vessels bound to deliver Iranian arms in accordance with UN resolutions.

The aircraft carrier’s arrival will notch up America’s active partnership in the blockade Saudi Arabia and Egypt have thrown up around Yemeni shores. It will underscore Washington’s resolve to pre-empt any attempt by Iranian warships to break this  blockade, as well as the deepening US involvement against the Iranian-backed rebel forces in Yemen.

In the era of modern news, this information concerning the deployment of the USS Roosevelt is old. Which action will become the flash point for expanding the current world wars into the larger conflagration is unknown. It is a good bet that one of the wars in the Middle East will be the “one”. Strange how the religion of peace (Islam) is center stage at most of these wars.
