ISIS Kills Iranian General In Central Iraq

A high-ranking Iranian military official advising Iraqi troops was killed by an Islamic State of Iraq and Syria sniper in Central Iraq Saturday.

Brigadier General Hamid Taqavi, a senior commander of Iran’s elite Quds Force, was declared “martyred” by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard while serving in the battleground city of Samarra, The Long War Journal reports.

The Quds Force is the Revolutionary Guard’s special forces unit and has been heavily involved in the Syrian Civil War and the fight against ISIS. They are designated as a terrorist group by the U.S. government.

Iran is heavily invested in defeating ISIS in Iraq and has provided significant levels of support to both the Iraqi army and Shiite militias locked in combat with the Sunni radicals. The supreme commander of the Quds Force has even been spotted helping Iraqi military operations in the area.

Are you having trouble keeping up with the players in the war in Iraq? ISIS, Peshmerga Kurds, Iraqi military, US military and Iranian Quds are most of the players. Some are surrogates for other countries but this is a good case where the enemy of our enemy is not our friend. No matter what the pResident or John Kerry state. So many players. So many hands to watch.

‘Getting Your ACE in Gear’ Webinar

Guerrillamerica

The Analysis & Control Element (ACE) is the intelligence element.  I’ve talked at great lengths about why forming a central intelligence element is necessary.  In my courses, I’ve gone into how we’d set up an ACE and talked about some central tasks and responsibilities.  The ACE is the brain of your community, and is a critical component to your post-SHTF security.  Intelligence information gets funneled into the ACE, and the conclusions these analysts make greatly affect your ability to understand what’s going on in real-time.

In a post-SHTF environment, having an ACE is going to make or break your community’s security.  If you don’t have a way to track threats and events in real time, then you’re always going to be behind the curve, and your family’s security will be greatly affected.

On Monday, 12 January 2015, I’ll pick up our series of live webinars to talk about how we should set up a community ACE.  I’m going to give you insights into what it should look like, what we should be doing, and how we should handle incoming intelligence information.  We’ll follow up the talk with a live Q&A, just like we always do.

The 2.6 Billion Dollar Welfare Payment That The U.S. Government Gives To Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart

Should the federal government be spending billions of dollars to pump up Wal-Mart’s profits?  I know that question sounds really bizarre, but unfortunately this is essentially what is happening.  Because Wal-Mart does not pay them enough money, hundreds of thousands of Wal-Mart employees enroll in Medicaid, food stamps and other social welfare programs.  Even though Wal-Mart makes enormous profits, they refuse to properly take care of their employees so the federal government has to do it.  And of course this is not just a Wal-Mart problem.  There are hundreds of other major corporations doing exactly the same thing.  And they will keep on doing it as long as they can because relying on the federal government to take care of their employees allows them to make much larger profits.  This gives these companies an enormous competitive advantage and it distorts the marketplace.  If you love the free enterprise system, you should be aghast at this.  Our big corporations have become the biggest “welfare queens” of all, and Wal-Mart is near the top of that list.

Does your local Wal-Mart store seem like it needs help from the federal government?

Of course not.

Wal-Marts all over the nation were absolutely packed this holiday season, but according to a recent Bloomberg article, the average amount of welfare that Wal-Mart employees receive from the government each year breaks down to about $420,000 per store…

North Korea Trolls Obama: Compares US President To “A Monkey In A Tropical Jungle”

While it is certain that in a few weeks, not even America’s staunchest “patriots” will remember The Interview, one thing is certain: the trolling comedy that has been unleashed by North Korea in response to Obama’s own “proportional response” will live in infamy for a long time. Case in point, North Korea’s full official statement following the re-release of the The Interview, which hit select theaters on Christmas day, just as initially scheduled despite the endless drama, as well as countless streaming distribution services (which at a rental price of $5.99 promptly made it the most pirated movie of 2014, despite an epic marketing campaign that essentially made it unpatriotic for Americans not to see the movie).

All that changed overnight when in its first official statement since its Internet went dark – something which if indeed North Korea did not hack Sony, as it claims, would be seen as a clear act of war if it were to happen to any other “developed” country – North Korea finally lost it and decided that the time to troll the US president has finally arrived, when, as the TV anchor says beginning 1:10 minutes in the clip blow, “Obama always goes reckless in speech and action like a monkey in a tropical jungle.

Fear and propaganda

There are twin 800-pound gorillas dictating race relations in the United States: Fear and propaganda – not necessarily in that order. Everyone with at least a room temperature IQ knows that the race baiters/hustlers/pimps ramp up the rhetoric and then the media dictates the conversation regarding race in America. The politicians and business owners consistently kowtow to the race baiters’ ridiculous demands and the propaganda.

Racism is one of the most lucrative businesses in America. Two reverends: Sharpton and Jackson, have become fantastically wealthy peddling hatred, mistrust, and thus sowing discontent. Of late, Sharpton has made his way into the White House and has new-found credibility because of the President embracing his (Sharpton’s) brand and race baiting.

DanMorgan76: The Final Word on UTM

DanMorgan76:

As stated in an earlier post, UTM is the most efficient system you can use to transpose a location from the earth, onto a map. Then you can pass that information on to friendly forces anywhere. Think about the possibilities.

This three video set is without a doubt the best explanation of UTM that I have ever seen. (Hat Tip to Lost Dog). No wonder, it was done by a former member of my alma mater, the 7th Special Forces Group. If you have the time and want to really understand UTM, pop a cold one, turn off the football game, and spend a few minutes learning something of value. He has a few other videos that you might find interesting.

Chinese Military Confirms DF-41 Flight Test

DF-41

China’s People’s Liberation Army on Thursday confirmed that its military conducted a flight test of a new long-range missile that U.S. intelligence agencies say involved the use of simulated multiple warheads.

“China has the legitimate right to conduct scientific tests within its border and these scientific tests are not targeting any country or target,” PLA Sr. Col.  Yang Yujun told reporters at a year-end news briefing.

Yang was asked about the flight test of the DF-41 ICBM on Dec. 13 and whether the testing of the missile changed China’s strategic nuclear policy of not being the first to use nuclear weapons in a conflict.

“What needs to be pointed out is that China pursues a nuclear policy of self-defense and its policy of no-first-use of nuclear weapons has not changed,” he said.

Are You Watching?

As your pResident vacations in Hawaii and legitimizes Islamist terrorist groups like CAIR, Putin is updating Russia’s military doctrine. Does anyone believe that the weakest president in the history of the United States has any credibility in the world?

There are no mulligans in war. Unfortunately Obama only understands how to organize communities for government entitlements. And the world’s leader know this.

Putin Signs New Military Doctrine: Names NATO, US As Main Foreign Threat; Test Fires New ICBM

One short hour ago, Putin adopted an updated version of its military doctrine, which “reflects the emergence of new threats against its national security” and which names both the NATO military buildup on Russia’s borders, as well as the US and the destabilized situation in some regions (read Ukraine) as the main foreign threats to Russian security. The doctrine update also, for the first time, put protection of Russian national interest in the Arctic (read oil and nat gas) among the key priorities for Russia’s armed forces.

In other words, Putin is not only not backing down, but has once again explicitly warned NATO that any western action, either in Ukraine or elsewhere, will have a proportional response.

Among the highlights of the new doctrine:

  • Russia’s military doctrine names NATO military buildup, destabilized situation in some regions among main external threats to security
  • Russia’s new military doctrine puts protection of national interests in Arctic among priorities for Armed Forces for the first time
  • Territorial claims to Russia and its allies, intervening in domestic policy main military threats
  • Likelihood of large-scale war against Russia decreased, but some security threats continue to grow
  • Anti-missile shields, ‘global strike’ concept, plans of placing weapons in space are external military threats to Russia
  • Attempts to destabilize situation in Russia, terrorist activities are country’s main internal threats

U.S. Rejects UAE Labeling of Two American Muslim Groups

The Obama administration spent Christmas week trying to get two Islamist organizations off a foreign country’s terror list.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Muslim American Society are both listed as Islamist organizations by the Islamist Money In Politics database, which tracks copious political spending by figures linked to the groups. The Muslim American Society was founded as an American-based Muslim Brotherhood front group.

CAIR and MAS representatives met with “senior U.S. government officials” just days before Christmas to discuss the groups’ inclusion on the United Arab Emirates’ official list of terrorist organizations.
