Border Rancher Warns of Cartel Border Takeover on U.S. Soil

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE_Ix6OEaMI

Texas border rancher vows to stand and fight the cartels, saying “There’s no backup in me” and calls on Texas veterans to join him in stopping the cartels from taking over Texas ranches along the border with Mexico.

These bastards [cartel members] are going through the valley, alright? They’re sending people up to Houston, St. Louis, any town where they’ve got a population over ten people, and they’re going up North to your backyards, moving in next door to you, they’re gonna be your neighbors, and think about it, if you’re doing shift work, and you go to work at night, or you’re going to the bowling league, and your wife and kids, your grandkids, are at home, these self-same guys are gonna walk in on your family. What the hell are you gonna do about it? You gonna come home, outside of crying are you gonna do anything, are you gonna do something now, before it gets to that point? I’m doing my crying all the day. Everyday. That’s my message to them. They’re going to your backyard. You’ve got a chance to stop em. Do you stand back, or do you go forward? There’s no backup in me. I want somebody to join me. Don’t backup to these bastards.Don’t. We got too much to lose. Don’t lose as much as I have, please.[in reference to his relatives in Mexico, who were recently killed by the cartel].  – Texas Rancher “Rusty” Monsee

Why Is Independence So Frightening To Some People?

by Brandon Smith

In past articles I have examined the nature of power and division in our society and have always come to the same conclusion, that there are only two types of people: the people who want control over others and the people who just want to be left alone. However, there are also subgroups that swim within the boundaries of each end of the spectrum. Often, psychologists and self-help gurus attempt to promote the idea that the defining quality of the average person’s life is whether he is a follower or a leader. I have seen this spectrum applied to every political and social organization.

Ironically, I have heard so-called “leftists” argue that the nature of their ideology makes them more adept at leadership and that conservatives are more prone to become followers (ostensibly because conservatives tend to be more religious). I have heard the same argument from people on the so-called “right,” only in reverse. The problem is that very few people in our society understand anymore what it actually means to be a leader. Most Americans today are followers, whether they know it or not.  And sadly, followers tend to also seek out control over other people, if only to make up for the lack of control they feel in their own lives.  That is to say, most followers tend to pursue petty opportunities for leadership.

The concept of leadership has become ridiculously warped. Many people feel that to become a leader, one must clamor his way through the system — be it government or corporate — and achieve artificial status, which others are conditioned to recognize and respect. One cannot become a designated “doctor”, no matter how personally skilled the individual, without earning the correct accolades from the establishment, accolades that are essentially bought at the right price or given as a pat on the head to those who excel at parroting the mainstream consensus. The same goes for scientists, economists, political authorities, etc. This creates a professional class, a percentage of the population whose opinions are treated with immediate reverence simply because of their titles.

STUDY: NET JOB GROWTH IN NC SINCE 2000 WENT TO IMMIGRANTS

The net increase in the number of employed working-age adults in North Carolina has gone entirely to legal and illegal immigrants since 2000, according to an analysis of government data conducted by the Center for Immigration Studies.

According to the limited immigration group, while the “native” working age (16-65 years old) North Carolina population has increased by 61 percent since 2000, the share of “natives” in that state’s work force has declined.

“The total number of working-age (16 to 65) immigrants (legal and illegal) holding a job in North Carolina increased by 313,000 from the first quarter of 2000 to the first quarter of 2014, while the number of working-age natives with a job declined by 32,000 over the same time,” the report reads, explaining that in the past 14 years has seen the labor-force participation of natives in North Carolina in decline.

The study comes as North Carolina Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan — who voted for the Senate-passed “Gang of Eight” immigration bill last summer that would have provided a path to legalization to the undocumented population and significantly increased the number of guest workers in the United States — is engaged in a tight re-election bid against Republican challenger Thom Tillis.

Fast food workers take to the streets for $15 minimum wage

Thousands of fast food workers are expected to stage protests Thursday outside of restaurants such as McDonald’s, Burger King and Domino’s in a coordinated push for higher pay.

Backed by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), fast food workers in 150 cities plan to walk off the job and pick up picket signs to demand that they be paid no less than $15 per hour. It will be the seventh strike organized by the Fast Food Forward campaign since November 2012, when the campaign began.

“At Thursday’s strike, fast food restaurants will see firsthand that workers are willing to do whatever it takes to win $15 and union rights,” said Kendall Fells, the organizing director at Fast Food Forward, which receives funding from the SEIU.

Business groups and franchises are pushing back on the campaign, arguing an increase in the minimum wage would be bad for the economy and ultimately hurt workers.

16 Apocalyptic Quotes From Global Health Officials About This Horrific Ebola Epidemic

Gustave Doré - Death on the Pale HorseEbola continues to spread an an exponential rate.  According to the World Health Organization, 40 percent of all Ebola cases have happened in just the last three weeks.  At this point, the official numbers tell us that approximately 3,500 people have gotten the virus in Africa and more than 1,900 people have died.  That is quite alarming, but the real problem will arise if this disease continues to spread at an exponential pace.  One team of researchers has used computer modeling to project that the number of Ebola cases will reach 10,000 by September 24th if current trends continue.  And if the spread of Ebola does not slow down, we could be dealing with 100,000 cases by December.  Even the WHO is admitting that the number of cases is likely to grow to 20,000 before too much longer, and global health officials are now starting to use apocalyptic language to describe this outbreak.

For people in the western world that have never seen anything like this other than in the movies, it can be difficult to grasp just how horrible this epidemic truly is.  In the areas of west Africa where Ebola is spreading, fear and panic are everywhere, food shortages are becoming a serious problem and there have been reports of dead bodies rotting in the streets.  People are avoiding hospitals and clinics because of paranoia about the fact that so many health workers have contracted the disease.  According to the World Health Organization, more than 240 health workers have gotten the virus so far and more than 120 of them have perished.

We have never seen anything like this in any of our lifetimes, and the scary part is that this might only be just the beginning.

The following are 16 apocalyptic quotes from global health officials about this horrific Ebola epidemic…

Now Is Not the Time to Be Cynical

Organizing for Action

Friend —

On Tuesday, members of Congress return to Washington from summer recess — and there’s a lot of work waiting for them.

It’s easy to get discouraged about our chances of making progress. After all, this has been the least productive Congress in modern history, thanks to some extreme voices in the House who seek gridlock.

Today, in spite of that, I’m asking you not to be cynical — because that only makes those voices stronger. They’re counting on passionate Americans tuning out and giving up at times like this.

We refuse to let that cynicism win out — stand up with me today and send a message to those leaders in Congress that we expect them to get to work for the American people, and we’re not going away.

The truth is there’s only one way that these folks get away with nonsense like wasteful lawsuits against the President, failing to lift a finger to fix our broken immigration system, or threatening to shut down the government AGAIN.

They get away with it because too many people have come to expect nothing better from Washington.

That cynicism gives the other side a pass they don’t deserve.

I refuse to let it be a foregone conclusion that leaders in Congress can’t come together to get something done for the American people.

These people work for us. We should be frustrated. We should be outraged. And we should speak up. President Obama put it this way: “Cynicism is a choice — and hope is a better choice.”

Add your name today and say you refuse to be cynical:

SHOCKER: Star of Kay Hagan Attack Ad Is a Democratic Activist

Screen Shot 2014-09-03 at 1.33.43 PM

Senator Kay Hagan (D., N.C.) has unveiled a new ad attacking her Republican opponent, state House Speaker Thom Tillis, for cutting textbook funding in the state budget, which included significant pay increases for teachers.

The ad features a woman named Anna Stearns, from Black Mountain, N.C., who offers the following incomprehensible lament: “Under Thom Tillis’s leadership, they’ve cut textbook funding so much that I can’t help my son with his homework.”

What is she even talking about? That sentence is a total non sequitur. But whatever, the important thing to understand is that Anna is an independent voice speaking to the struggles of North Carolina’s middle class.

Or maybe not so independent, after all. According to an online bio, Stearns “is active with her local Democratic Party and was elected in 2013 to serve as Secretary of both the Women’s Caucus of the Young Democrats of North Carolina and as Secretary of the Buncombe County Chapter.”

The NRA’s Latest Anti-Gun Candidate

Mississippi Rebel

NRA A-rated Democrat Kathy Hochul, who is running for Lieutenant Governor in New York, has given her full backing to New York’s extremist gun control law, the SAFE Act.

The NRA endorsed Hochul in her Congressional election in 2012 and also gave her an “A” rating. Now Hochul is embracing one of the worst gun laws in the country.

The SAFE Act mandates background checks, limits magazine size and includes a long list of unconstitutional gun control measures. Hochul doesn’t have a problem with any of this, saying that the SAFE Act is “reasonable” and that her support for the SAFE Act is not “inconsistent” with her support from the NRA.

U.S. Army Plans to Battle Anti-Government Dissidents In “Megacities”

us-army-riot

The U.S. Army is preparing to fight political dissidents who challenge the power of the state as “megacities” become the battleground of the future, according to a new report in the Army Times.

The article details how the Army’s Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC) worked with US Army Special Operations Command, the chief of staff’s Strategic Studies Group and the UK’s Ministry of Defence earlier this year to wargame the future of armed combat, which will revolve around the neutralization of groups “who can influence the lives of the population while undermining the authority of the state,” a chillingly vague description which could easily be applied to political dissidents.

The plan foresees an unprecedented realignment of U.S. military strategy focused around putting “boots on the ground” in megacities to deal with “politically dispossessed” populations while relying on “more lethal and more autonomous” methods.

“It is inevitable that at some point the United States Army will be asked to operate in a megacity and currently the Army is ill-prepared to do so,” asserted a report by Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno’s Strategic Studies Group, while Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster warned that the Army will increasingly have to expand its presence to battle an enemy which operates in “other contested spaces like organized crime and politics.”

The report also notes how the Army will utilize directed energy weapons which “would allow U.S. to have direct-fire capabilities with significant logistics reduction, and to counter enemy long-range missile capability.”
