Oversight panel subpoenas Kerry for testimony on Benghazi emails

The House Oversight Committee on Friday issued a subpoena to force Secretary of State John Kerry to testify on new Benghazi emails.

Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) is requiring Kerry to testify on May 21 at a public hearing.
“The State Department’s response to the congressional investigation of the Benghazi attack has shown a disturbing disregard for the Department’s legal obligations to Congress,” Issa said in a letter to Kerry.
This week the group Judicial Watch released an email through a Freedom of Information Act request that shows White House official Ben Rhodes coordinating talking points for then-Ambassador Susan Rice before her Sunday talk show appearances the weekend after the attack in Libya.

One YouTube Account’s 77,000 Mysterious Videos

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VpKUhD1Vv4

The truth behind one YouTube account’s 77,000 mysterious videos

For the past seven months, a single YouTube channel has been uploading an average of one video every 20 seconds. Each video is exactly the same: 10 seconds long, they flick through 10 still images of a blue and a red rectangle, accompanied by a series of electronic tones. The position and sizes of the shapes, the title of the video and the pitch of the tones all appear to be completely random, but every single video has the caption “aqua.flv” in the bottom-left corner.

Is This How World War III Starts?

Rebels down Ukraine helicopters, Putin denounces city assault

Pro-Russian rebels shot down two Ukrainian helicopters on Friday, killing two crew, as troops tightened their siege of separatist-held Slaviansk in what Moscow called a “criminal” assault by Kiev that wrecked hopes of peace.

President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman said the Kremlin was “extremely worried” that it had not heard from an envoy Putin had sent to the eastern city to help free foreign hostages. He said the “punitive operation” mounted by Ukrainian forces had destroyed a peace plan agreed with Western powers two weeks ago.

APPS: California’s Universal Registration Scheme

From YouTube:

APPS stands for Armed & Prohibited Persons System. The premise is confiscation of legal firearms from “prohibited” individuals. The reality is an excuse for universal registration.

It is about time people start holding the media accountable when they print lies

From Shannon Greathead on Facebook:

ATTENTION CHEROKEE COUNTY RESIDENTS: I am calling out Dr. Robin Auerbach and Barry Lester from Roswell, GA. Former land owners in Cherokee County. I am also calling out any of the Floridian and other Georgia residents that have supposedly known Mr. Ed Figueroa for so so many years. I am also calling out to David Brown, Cherokee Scout Editor and or owners of the Scout office or their staff writers and contributing writers to have a face to face meeting.

I would just absolutely love how in the hell you can at any remote chance call first off Eduardo Figueroa Commissioner Candidate for 4th district…responsible, honest, trustworthy, and compassionate? Not one of his endorsing individual letters are from a single Cherokee County Resident or even a full time resident if they want to get technical and say well we own property up there and you visit what maybe 3 months out of the year..yeah that’s a resident alright…beside the point…if he is such a good man, good candidate then why isn’t he running in your state or counties? Why isn’t he seeking elections where he might stand a chimemans chance in hell of getting votes….He has consistently tried to demean and slander candidates that do not see things HIS WAY…he also does the same to individual citizens…compassionate…HE IS NOT…there is more compassion in the rear end of a field rat than there is in the man.

I do not want to hear about his DOD days as a tactical this and that, contractor this and this his experience at this and that to hear him talk HES DONE IT ALL…bull freaking SNOT!!!! My 22 soon to be 23 year old son has done more tours in the past 5 years as a Marine and I can guarantee you has had more front line combat time in than Ed ever has as far as the military goes…don’t even try to use that line to gain respect because any good soldier doesn’t demand respect ITS EARNED AND ITS GAINED BY THE MOMENT THEY WALK IN FRONT OF YOU and you recognize their stripes, unit or their wounds. If you served I haven’t met a real soldier to this day that has ever demanded respect or tooted their own horn for doing so to get a pat on the back except those that are craving attention.

CNN’s Candy Crowley Admits Obama Didn’t Call Benghazi a Terror Attack

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80zi-FRt9uc

The Benghazi tragedy has finally been unveiled. So what will be the consequences of a failed state department policy and what will become a bigger coverup than Watergate. I could say that it is nothing that this pResident does not deserve but we must not forget the four Americans who lost their lives:

Hillary Clinton’s famous words “What difference does it make?” must never be forgotten.

We must also never forget the Americans that were rescued from Benghazi and subsequently kidnapped to keep silent. When will they be freed?

CONFLICT.

Prepare for War in the Pre-Electronic Age

With the technological superiority of the US military, and with US state and regime law enforcement electronic capability potential not too terribly far behind, should FREEFOR be preparing for a war in the pre-electronic age?  A Marine Corps Reserve Captain believes that the US military should brace for impact in the event of a world war due to the advancing electronic and cyber warfare capabilities of their adversaries.  He states the case:

Major battles in the 21st century will be confusing and disorganized affairs more similar to the clashes of a pre-digital age than the ‘network-centric’ combat we’ve become accustomed to. A new generation of offensive technology targeting the electromagnetic spectrum — systems such as cyberweapons, electronic jammers, anti-satellite missiles, and electromagnetic pulse (EMP) munitions — will deprive militaries of the sensor and communications links they rely on. Forget 24-hour streaming video from a Predator drone. Armies of the future may struggle just to use their radios.

And with that in mind – the potential for electrical outages and jammed communications – FREEFOR really ought to consider training not for how they expect to fight, but maybe for how they don’t expect to fight.  Pilots spend 99% of their time training for emergency events that may only happen 1% of the time.  But in that 1% event, hundreds of lives are depending on the pilots’ abilities to safely guide that aircraft.  In a grid down situation — a 1% event — your entire paradigm of down time in combat operations (or stability/support operations) will be changed.  I recommend taking this Captain’s advice and consider spending some time training without electronic inter-team communications, electronic optics or any technology powered by electricity or batteries.  (Kudos to you if you’re already doing that.)

MSNBC Is Now Admitting There MAY Be Something To This Whole Benghazi Thing

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hj9MZfoD7aU#t=1s

MSNBC host Alex Wagner — who for months, if not years, routinely denied there was anything to Republican allegations of a White House coverup on Benghazi — now admits there may actually be a problem with the Obama administration’s response to the 2012 attack.

“There probably is something for Republicans to complain about,” she said regarding Benghazi, “for the American public to perhaps be distressed or dismayed about.”

But she hastened to add that Republicans “have effectively ceded all legitimacy on the issue” by refusing to budge on such a “fringy” topic — leaving out her role in pushing the story to the fringe.

On Tuesday, government watchdog Judicial Watch released emails between top White House advisers and former U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, documents earlier withheld by the Obama administration and only released after a lengthy fight in federal court.

We Didn’t Love Freedom Enough

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”
― Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

The above quote was a comment posted on an article detailing the Supreme Court’s decision to not even hear Chris Hedges’ case on unlawful detention of the people at the whim of tyranny. Gulags or FEMA camps, the future of Liberty will be rekindled in the camps. Or maybe even not at all.

But these are just words. How we act and react, mark the measure of a people and their future. If we do not act, our future is set in slavery. Most of the people have not only been robbed of everything, they are in debt to the government. Currently each taxpayer owes over $1.1 million in debt and the government holds most of the people’s mortgages. I do not consider slavery in a police state to be freedom.

Our biggest threats are fear and division. I understand the fear. This is how our founding fathers handled this same fear: “With a firm reliance on divine Providence”. The division is our greatest threat since it comes from both outside and inside. Do we need a major attack against freedom to coordinate? If this is what is takes, I can only say “LOOK AROUND YOU”.

What Do I Do Next?

Excellent advice from “Spartan Monkey”. I do not know the reason why people are waking up at such an increased rate to our nation’s moral and economic collapse. Maybe the propaganda media cannot cover up the price of food, gas and “affordable health care”. Or maybe people are tired of being slaves.

David DeGerolamo

A common question see in the patriot/prepper community is this: “I have no military background. I’ve been storing food, ammo, water, etc. I’ve got some training. I don’t have many folks around me that share my views. What do I do next?”

I began with a military background, then started adding in the typical prepper stuff like food storage, etc. IMO, it’s much easier to pick up prepper skills than military skills for the simple reason that it takes a lot of time and practice to become proficient in military type skills. Not to mention requiring a whole learning environment that includes having enough guys to form both your and opposing teams, commo gear, pyro, ammo, land, air assets (both rotary and fixed wing), mortars, etc. Plus, there’s a whole host of skills to learn like land nav, various types of patrols, marksmanship, leadership, etc. But have hope; you CAN learn what you must. You’ll need to do a lot of reading (military manuals), buy some DVDs, take some formal training, and practice, A LOT. Having realistic expectations about how fast your skillset evolves and how many skills comprise that skillset will help you keep a positive attitude, which will keep you moving forward. There is no realistic way you’re going to gain the level of skill and experience that an active duty soldier has. The good news is that you don’t need to learn to do a whole host of things like call for close-air support (CAS), or indirect fires, so the number of things you need to learn is reduced.
