Open Letter to NC Gov. McCrory On Common Core

This is an open letter to North Carolina’s Governor from me on the topic of Common Core.

Full disclosure:

I’m currently a registered Republican and voted for Governor McCrory.  I also write at StopCommonCoreNC.org. I did not post this letter there; this is a personal endeavor not tied to that site.

——————————

Dear Governor McCrory,

I recently read an article in the News and Observer in which you praised former Governor Jim Hunt, calling him a “hero” and “mentor” of yours.   While I am pleased to see bipartisanship taking place in discussions in the critical topic of education, given your appreciation for former Governor Hunt in the area of education and his institute’s ties to Common Core, I wanted to be sure you were aware of some important facts.

GRNC Alert 01-17-14: Ashe Co. Attorney Urges Park Ban

Invokes “Wild West” hyperbole…

Ashe County is back in the news once again, being urged by its attorney, John Kilby, to push park gun bans to the point of breaking state law.

According to reports, Kilby has advised Commissioners that expansion of carry rights provided by GRNC-backed legislation (now Session Law 2013-369) still has “gray areas” subject to interpretation about where bans can be enacted in “athletic facilities”.

What is it about the illegality of gun bans in parks that apparently makes municipalities want to pass them? Wouldn’t a responsible civic leader avoid taking any action that might break the law? Politicians who support violating the Second Amendment rights of their constituents don’t appear too worried about violating state law either.

When asked what the consequences of not enacting any ban at all would be, Kilby reportedly answered, “Wild West, I guess.”

Commissioners will next meet Tuesday, January 21st. The issue may be raised again. We should be there to remind them “less is more” when restricting rights of citizens.

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED!

Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace but there is no peace. The war is actually begun!

The title of this post is from Patrick Henry’s famous Liberty or Death speech, which I will link at the bottom of this post.  I encourage all of you to read it again today with fresh eyes – the eyes that read Drudge every day, the eyes that see what LEO is doing every day, the eyes that see what is happening from Washington every day – including the bureaucracies – the eyes that see the Truth.

Once more I will quote Sam Adams: “If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.

I know your eyes see what is happening, but I am not sure minds are interpreting it all realistically.

The war is actually begun!

Deutsche Bank Exits Gold Price Fixing

Germany’s blowback against gold manipulation is accelerating. Following yesterday’s report that Bafin took a hard line against precious metals manipulation, after its president Eike Koenig said possible manipulation of precious metals “is worse than the Libor-rigging scandal“, today the response has trickled down to Germany and Europe’s largest bank, Deutsche Bank, which announced that it would withdraw from the appropriately named gold and silver price “fixing”, as European regulators investigate suspected manipulation of precious metals prices by banks. As a reminder, Deutsche is one of five banks involved in the twice-daily gold fix for global price setting and said it was quitting the process after withdrawing from the bulk of its commodities business. The scramble away from gold fixing was certainly assisted by the recent first (of many) manipulation expose in the legacy media, when Bloomberg revealed “How Gold Price Is Manipulated During The “London Fix.” And sure enough, with Germany already very sensitive to the topic of its gold repatriation, and specifically why it is taking so long, it was only a matter of time before any German involvement in gold manipulation escalated to the very top.

Doug Hagmann: Shredding the layers of the ObamaCare onion

A few days ago, I was given a gift of sorts. It arrived in a plain manila envelope with no return address. Inside was a note that stated that I would know precisely what to do with the information this anonymous source provided. That source was indeed correct.

According to this benefactor of inside information, the electric bills of certain companies for the next billing cycle and employee overtime costs for the next pay schedule will be particularly high due to the cost of operating shredders and paying people to use them. Not just for physical shredding, but for the electronic erasure of documents, memos and e-mails pertaining to certain companies who played a supporting role in the establishment and roll-out of “ObamaCare” and the Healthcare.gov website. Moreover, this very task of document destruction is still taking place, which should serve as a red-phone call to congressional investigators who have not been financially enriched in the cronyism of ObamaCare.

Hopefully, those who are engaged in this frenzied shredding operation received their orders in writing and have taken extraordinary steps to safeguard their orders far beyond the company vault. For if history tells us anything, and it should, this menial but criminally significant task is almost always left to the “disposable” kind of employees where the blame always falls and a stint in prison leaves less of public stigma to other certain, high-value executives dictating the orders. It’s plausible deniability in action, or PD, as it is known in the tradecraft.
