The Bully Pulpit

A bully pulpit is a public office or position of authority that provides the holder with an opportunity to speak out and be listened to on any matter.

In theory, the expression could refer to any position of authority. In practice, it is usually used to describe the presidency.

Here is a good example of using the bully pulpit in 2012:

Obama Riding Hurricane Sandy Poll Bounce Into Election Day

There’s fresh evidence that President Obama’s rapid response to Hurricane Sandy gave him a last-minute boost before the election, although some Republicans are now saying Obama dropped the ball in the past few days.

Let’s apply this to Hurricane Helene. This would be a great use of the existing government to use this catastrophe to their political advantage. Instead, the President, Vice-President and the governor of North Carolina have chosen not to use this to their advantage and have ignored this opportunity.

I can think of two reasons why:

  1. They know that there will not be an election on November 5th.
  2. They know that the election has been rigged to give the country another fraudulent President.

This would also explain why Biden will not get involved in the East Coast dock strike, close the border or stop illegal aliens from voting. Congress is in recess until November 12, 2024 so the “government” is running on empty.

Biden approves $567 mln in defense support for Taiwan

The United States is Taiwan’s most important international backer and arms supplier even in the absence of formal diplomatic ties. China has repeatedly demanded Washington stop selling weapons to Taipei, which it claims as its territory.
