The 4th Estate

The media in the United States has often been referred to as the fourth branch of government or 4th estate. The foundering fathers envisioned the media as fulfilling the role of illuminating the abuses to the democratic process. Unfortunately, today the media at large has become a liberal- based ideologue which frames the news as opposed to reporting the news.

In the case of the Martin/Zimmerman incident, the media framed the conversation the way that they wanted it to appear. A cub reporter could have dug out the correct information needed for the public to make an informed decision, but they choose instead to ignore the truth and fabricate their own version.

• All the photos showed Trayvon Martin as a sweet innocent kid in his early teens. He was in fact nearly 18 — more than six feet tall — trained in mixed martial arts fighting — and was a troubled young man.

• The media informed us that Trayvon was guilty of nothing more innocuous than carrying ice tea and Skittles. Trayvon actually had Arizona watermelon cocktail and Skittles – which are 2/3 of the ingredients required to make dextromethorphan hydro bromide (DHM). When cough syrup is added, a mixture known on the street as “purple drank” is produced. Informed sources have stated that his autopsy indicated that he had liver damage consistent with one who habitually used this drug concoction.

• The effects of purple drank is that it makes one paranoid and combative. Those symptoms would be consistent with believing that one is being followed and then attacking the perceived follower.

Secret Israeli document to White House shows how US strategy shortens route to Iranian nuclear weapon

IR2 centrifuges at Natanz enrichment plant

Israel sent the White House in Washington a confidential document outlining blow by blow how and when Iran will attain a nuclear weapon if the Obama-Kerry strategy for dealing with the issue goes through. The document was addressed to the National Security Council headed by Susan Rice, DEBKAfilereports. Communications between the prime minister’s office in Jerusalem and the State Department have almost petered out since exchanges between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Secretary of State John Kerry sharpened in tone.

Our Washington sources report that Rice and the NSC have taken a critical stand against the State Department’s policies – not just on the Iranian nuclear question, but also on Saudi Arabia, the Arabian Gulf and Egypt. However, the Israeli document does not take issue directly with Obama administration policies per se. It confines itself to a dry account, step by step, of how the Iranian nuclear bomb program will continue to unfold if the administration’s secret proposition is accepted.

Much of the document’s content is highly technical for the perusal of US experts. It concludes that by putting Iran’s nuclear program on hold for six months, as the administration claims, US diplomatic strategy will shorten its path to a bomb or warhead.

The Israeli document also sought to rebut Kerry’s argument that Netanyahu has been attacking the US proposal without knowing its content.

Empire Manufacturing Collapses

The headline Empire manufacturing data missed expectations by the most since January (the 4th month in a row) and plunged to its lowest since January. Across the board sub-indices collapsed (every one of them) into contraction with shipments down from over 13 to -0.5, and New Orders down from 7.75 to -5.5. “Hope” didn’t save it this time either as the outlook dropped to 3 month lows. Labor market conditions were subdued. The index for number of employees drifted downward for a third consecutive month, coming in at 0.0 in November in a sign that employment levels were flat. The average workweek index fell nine points to -5.3, pointing to a decline in hours worked. This can only be great news for the bulls and guarantees that the S&P 500 will hit 1800 today

What Happens?

1. What happens when the ACA healthcare exchange is not operational on November 30th?

2. What happens when no one spends money on Christmas presents?

3. What happens when Israel attacks Iran?

4. What happens when the stock market crashes?

5. What happens when we realize that the Republic has been replaced with a dictatorship?

Bombshell: Sen. Rand Paul Reveals — Barack Obama Wrote The Regulation To Cancel Your Insurance

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22qAbmL0yDw#t=340s

I’m still learning about it. It’s 20,000 pages of regulations. The Bill was 2,000 pages and I didn’t realize this until this week, the whole idea of you losing or getting your insurance cancelled wasn’t in the original Obamacare. It was a regulation WRITTEN BY PRESIDENT OBAMA, three months later. So we had a vote, this is before I got up there. The Republicans had a vote to try to cancel that regulation so you COULDN’T BE CANCELLED, to grandfather everybody in. You know what the vote was? Straight party line. EVERY DEMOCRAT VOTED TO KEEP THE RULE THAT CANCELS YOUR INSURANCE.

History is Written for the Suckers

history museum

It’s often said that history is written by the victors. I don’t think that is entirely true, but I can definitely tell you who history is written for, and that’s the suckers.

I’m referring to the history books people are forced to read in schools, by the way, not to serious and specialized history books. (The kind that almost no one reads.)

What brought up this subject was a comment I stumbled upon this morning, in a Wikipedia article about the origins of banking:

Wealth was deposited and kept in temples; in treasuries, where safety was afforded by the will of the gods.

I’ve actually studied ancient Mesopotamia, and I don’t for a minute believe that the guys who looted their local farmers believed it was protected by the gods. If they did, they wouldn’t have kept it in the most secure building in their kingdom, surrounded by thick walls and isolated from approach!

That line – that five thousand year old line – was created for the suckers, the people who gave the thugs their money but wanted to feel noble about it. And it’s still working! The ruler is automatically afforded every benefit of the doubt, at all times and in all ways.

History – at 3000 BC and even now – is written for the suckers: the people who maintain that eternal benefit of the doubt.

Let me explain how this works:

Mayor Against Illegal Guns Endorses Criminal Activity

Santa Fe Mayor David Coss / WIkimedia Commons

Santa Fe Mayor David Coss

The Democratic mayor and legislature of a New Mexico city hundreds of miles from the southern leg of the Keystone pipeline on Thursday officially endorsed illegal activity as a means to stop the pipeline’s continued construction.

The Santa Fe, N.M., city council voted on Thursday to endorse “civil disobedience” as a means to urge President Barack Obama to reject Canadian oil company TransCanada’s application with the State Department for the construction of the pipeline’s northern leg.

The city council “strongly support [sic] public expression of resistance to approval of the Keystone XL Pipeline, up to and including peaceful, nonviolent and dignified expressions of civil disobedience,” the resolution states.

Santa Fe mayor David Coss introduced the measure. Coss is a member of the gun control group Mayors Against Illegal Guns. While other members of the group have been charged with or convicted of crimes, Coss appears to be the first to have explicitly endorsed illegal activity in his capacity as mayor.

Braying for Secession

Toshiba Digital Camera

A day ago I caught a quip about secession that came, maybe coincidentally, after Soups and Knives where I write about the topic.  I don’t think the intent was malicious.

And people are braying for secession, as if those Blue areas will never choke them off economically, starve them like Ukrainians, and then move in and take those precious guns from cold, dead, famine-clenched hands before re-claiming the valuable land.

On one hand, donkeys bray. It’s annoying.  I might be offended if I had read it with only that context in mind.  But on second thought, donkeys are natural livestock protectors.  They bray at danger, alert other livestock, and have also been known to take on predating coyotes.  I can live with that.

But that’s not the most offensive thing I read.   Let me share with you the best possible response to the above statement.  Tom Baugh, in reference to those Blue areas choking out secessionists, was the first to point out that the majority of food comes from the breadbasket of America — the red states.

Well, that would be a neat trick, given where the food comes from and what forms the foundation of any economy (hint: it isn’t iPoodles or hedge funds or cubicle jobs or subdivision service industries). I think I said elsewhere that malevolent fedgov overreach is the best marketing a secessionist could hope for. Having DC and NYC trying to enforce their will in this way, particularly to take food to feed their own populations who will be the first to begin starving will be a game-changer.

Obama: For 98% Pledge Was Either True or They Wouldn’t Care It Was False

Barack ObamaPresident Barack Obama said at a White House press conference today that he expected that 98 percent of Americans would either discover that his pledge that they could keep their health care plan under Obamacare was true or they would not care that it was false–because would get a better plan.

“My expectation was that for 98 percent of the American people either it genuinely wouldn’t change at all or they’d be pleasantly surprised with the options in the marketplace and that the grandfather clause would cover the rest,” said Obama.

That leaves 2 percent of the people, by the president’s calculation, for whom the pledge was false, period.

Obama also said that when he said people could keep their health-care plan if they liked it he was thinking, among others, of people in the government’s Medicaid and Medicare programs.

“So when I said you can keep your health care, I’m, you know, I’m looking at folks who’ve got employer based health care,” he said. “I’m looking at folks who’ve got Medicare and Medicaid. And that accounts for the vast majority of Americans.”
