Are Constitutional Conservatives Really The Boogeyman?

by Brandon Smith

Power, or perceived power, is a viciously addictive narcotic. It doesn’t matter what political or philosophical background a person hails from, very few have the self discipline or the self awareness necessary to relinquish the trappings of power once they have tasted it. This truth applies to conservatives as much as it applies to liberals.

I began my early political life as a Democrat, and until I came to understand the nature of the false left right paradigm in 2004, my view of the negative within government was slanted entirely against the GOP. When a finally grasped the fantasy of the two party process, I did not let go of my criticisms of the Republican hierarchy as much as accept the fact that the same criticisms applied to the Democrats as well. They are, ultimately, the same entity with the same exact ideological goals hidden by cosmetic differences in shallow rhetoric. I have no interest whatsoever in perpetuating the false left/right paradigm, or giving undue credit to the GOP.

However, as stated earlier, power is a drug, one which the so-called “left” has been hooked on since the Obama Administration took its seat in the White House. While the Republicans have much to answer for (the Bush years are a nightmarish example), it is the Democratic Party, and those who blindly identify with it, that must be addressed today. It is they who are now directly feeding the elitist machine, giving it momentum, and aiding in the destruction of the American economy and culture. It is their madness and thirst for control that is being exploited by the establishment to demonize legitimate activists who seek Constitutional transparency (the only people in this country today who understand the bigger picture and who the real enemies are) thus undermining any chance our society has for a free and prosperous future.

Five Ways to Create a Monopoly

by Brian LaSorsa

It’s hard to maintain monopoly status in a free market when you have to deal with all that competition and whatnot.

Between other companies’ low prices and new, updated products entering the market each day, it’s almost like Rich Uncle Pennybags is a thing of the past. But fret not!

The politicians of the world would like to offer anyone dead set on controlling an entire industry the chance to shine. So come one, come all — government agencies, cronies, and all their friends — as we present the five best ways to create a monopoly and to ensure you never have to compete again.

1. Regulations. When the cost of doing business is high, make it higher. Small firms can’t survive government imposed regulations while bigger firms can certainly bear the burden, at least temporarily. Taxes, mandates, and especially “safety regulations” (e.g., clinical trials at the Food and Drug Administration) will wipe out your competition before they even have time to ask what the new rules mean. Then hire a lobbyist in Washington. I’m sure he or she will come up with a good reason that the industry should adhere to stricter and more expensive guidelines.

2. Subsidies. There’s no such thing as a free lunch. But, when the government is paying for it, the lunch sure does taste free.

Amnesty push for illegals anew, help us stop it

Immigration Activists and Concerned Citizens,

Earlier this week pro-cheap labor interests along with New York City Mayor Bloomberg and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg organized a trip to Wash, DC of so-called conservatives to meet with mostly Republican U.S. House members to convince them do an amnesty for illegals.  Help us provide a counter to this and STOP any new push for amnesty.

See our recommended response below but this is what the pro-amnesty folks (noted above) said to members of Congress according to media reports:  big donors said they will not provide large donations to members of Congress unless they pass an amnesty.  The illegals, they said, are hurting and we need to be compassionate.  The US Chamber of Commerce said the world is passing us by.  Their supports say the illegals want driver’s licenses and don’t want to be here in fear of being deported.

Congresswoman Renee Ellmers found time to meet with pro-amnesty cheap labor folks in person, but hasn’t yet found time in her schedule to meet with NC LISTEN in person.

Europe Stuns With “Surprising” Record High Unemployment Print, Inflation At 4 Year Low; Euro Tumbles

Those following the Euro FX pairs saw a plunge at 6 am Eastern, when Eurostat released the latest Eurozone unemployment and inflation statistics. They were, in a word, abysmal. After the August unemployment data finally saw a modest drop forcing many to announce the end of the European depression, not only did the the September number revise the August print from 12.0% to 12.2%, a new record high as 73,000 thousand people became unemployed, but more importantly made the September unemployment rate 12.2% as well following another 60,000 Eurozoneans losing their jobs, effectively meaning that for all the talk of a European recovery, its unemployment rate keeps hitting new all time record highs every single month.

The pResident’s Dubious Universe of Awareness

It’s the famous Washington question: What did the President know, and when did he know it?

Well, if you ask the Obama administration, the answer — to an alarming degree — is “nothing” and “never.” That is, about anything that matters. It’s profoundly unsettling to compare the issues of which the President is reportedly unaware with the matters in which, it’s clear, he demonstrates a high degree of both awareness and interest. Consider the following:

The President was unaware the NSA was spying on world leaders.

He was unaware of the problems with the ObamaCare web site.

He was unaware that ICE was releasing illegal immigrants before the sequester.

He was unaware that the IRS was targeting his political opponents.

He was unaware that anyone had been blocked from testifying about Benghazi.

He was unaware that officials in Libya had requested more security before the attacks.

He was unaware that his DOJ was snooping on reporters.

Shut Down the Tea Party! Petition

The lines are drawn between the two sides in this divided “union”. Which side is good? That is easy: which side is lying?

The following petition from the “Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee” labels people fighting for the Constitution as anarchists. But this does give me hope. If evil thinks a petition will shut down sentient people from fighting for their natural law rights, they know they are losing. Regardless of the number of people who have sold their vote (and country) for a government handout.

Shut Down the Tea Party!

The Tea Party led government shutdown was wrong. We will never again be held hostage by Ted Cruz and Tea Party anarchists.

Sign our petition and join us as we work to shut down the Tea Party!

QUOTH THE RAVEN

THE RAVEN (Debts No More)
(Edgar Allen Poe, The Raven)
WilliamBanzai7

Once upon a midnight dreary, while insolvent weak and weary,
O’r a balance sheet covered in a cloud of debts galore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`’Tis some visitor,’ I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door –
Only this, and nothing more.’

Ah, distinctly I remember it was bleak as Lehman’s September,
And each despicable creditor wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; – vainly I sought more to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow – sorrow for the abundant days of yore –
And the rare and hidden debts of toxic bailout whores –
Nameless here for evermore.

And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each indentured debt just
Thrilled me – thrilled me with fantastic plastic Sino-crap never bought before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
‘Tis some banksta entreating entrance at my chamber door –
My late payments entreating his entrance at my chamber door; –
This it is, and nothing more,’

So Back Door Gun Control Really Was Bush’s Fault

Concerning the following information currently published for back door gun control:

Back Door Gun Control Moves Forward

There are numerous alarming reasons why the US government and the military have been buying up all the ammo. Here’s one of them. Obama and the EPA just shut down the last lead smelting plant in the US. They raised the EPA regulations by 10 fold and it would have cost the plant $100 million to comply. You can own all the guns you want, but if you can’t get ammo, you are out of luck.

In December, the final primary lead smelter in the United States will close. The lead smelter, located in Herculaneum, Missouri, and owned and operated by the Doe Run Company, has existed in the same location since 1892.

The Herculaneum smelter is currently the only smelter in the United States which can produce lead bullion from raw lead ore that is mined nearby in Missouri’s extensive lead deposits, giving the smelter its “primary” designation. The lead bullion produced in Herculaneum is then sold to lead product producers, including ammunition manufactures for use in conventional ammunition components such as projectiles, projectile cores, and primers. Several “secondary” smelters, where lead is recycled from products such as lead acid batteries or spent ammunition components, still operate in the United States.

Doe Run made significant efforts to reduce lead emissions from the smelter, but in 2008 the federal Environmental Protection Agency issued new National Ambient Air Quality Standards for lead that were 10 times tighter than the previous standard. Given the new lead air quality standard, Doe Run made the decision to close the Herculaneum smelter….

Emphasis added.

All together now, boys and girls: Who was president all through 2008, and until January 20, 2009? Hint: not Barack Obama.

So, clearly, Obama used his sinister ability to warp the time-space continuum in order to make this happen two and a half months before his inauguration. Sneaky bastard!
