I wonder what would have happened if the Senate had conducted a trial for the impeachment of Mayorkas? How many lives may have been saved if FEMA had showed up after the hurricane to help people if he had been removed? Blood is on both Schumer’s and Mayorkas’s hands.

Texas Republicans rue Democrats for dismissing Mayorkas impeachment without trial

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Senate swiftly tossed the impeachment articles against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday, but not without an effort by Texas’ senators and other Republicans to have a full Senate trial for the secretary.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer adjourned the trial on a simple majority vote, after 51 Democrats voted to dismiss the charges brought by the House, deeming them unconstitutional. The outcome of the impeachment effort had long been anticipated. Democrats control a majority in the Senate, and the Constitution requires a two-thirds majority in the upper chamber to convict.

But several Republicans made an effort to have a trial in the upper chamber where they could air their grievances against Mayorkas, and later warned that Democrats set a dangerous precedent by refusing to hear an impeachment trial.

I want to point out some facts:

Joe Biden is the President of the United States. Although we know he is illegal, Congress supports his administration. Any attempts to blame Kamala Harris for the problems of our country are politically motivated. I consider them to be no more than deflection for the political elite for their role in our nation’s collapse.
Congress is responsible under the Constitution for funding the government. Congress is in recess until November 12, 2020. This is a week after the election (if held). How many people will die due to Congress being on vacation.
Governor Cooper has blood on his hands. Never forget his role in the abandonment of Western North Carolina.
Where are North Carolina state and federal congressmen? Other than Mark Robinson, I do not see anyone here on the ground. Let me know if you know of any other government elected official that is here in person.
The new fiscal budget for 2025 started on October 1, 2024. If FEMA is out of money, that would mean that the entire FEMA budget for 2025 was spent in three days on illegal alien transport, food and housing
