The Syrian conflict has taken a dangerous turn with Saudi Arabia sending troops and fighter jets to Turkey ahead of a reported intervention against Islamic State in Syria.
Saudi officials say they want to fight the Islamic State group on the ground and see Syrian President Bashar al-Assad removed.
But Assad’s forces, backed by Russian air power, are making large gains against rebels in and around the key city of Aleppo, just days after world powers pledged a cessation of hostilities and immediate humanitarian access.
