Shall We Play a Game?

The United States and Russia have more than 12,000 nukes combined. Over 3,000 of those can be launched within 15 minutes’ notice. We avoided annihilation in the Cold War, but what if all-out nuclear war happened today? Princeton’s Program on Science and Global Security, along with Alex Wellerstein of the Stevens Institute of Technology, have created a new realistic nuclear war simulation for a plausible escalation between the U.S. and Russia.

The war would occur in phases, quickly escalating as targets changed from tactical locations to cities. More than 30 million people would die immediately, and twice that many would be injured. Deaths would rise as nuclear fallout settles — this occurs when residual radioactive material propelled into the upper atmosphere falls back to Earth. The long-term effects of an all-out nuclear exchange between the U.S. and Russia would be severe. Fires from burning structures following the blast would inject 300 billion pounds of soot into the atmosphere. This would push temperatures below freezing in the summertime in the Northern Hemisphere, reducing planting season by 90%. Global average surface temperatures would fall by 9 degrees Celsius. And in the U.S., they’d drop 20 degrees C below normal in the Summer, and 35 degrees below normal in Russia.

“PLAN A,” Princeton SGS:

This scenario is no longer valid. The advantage Russia has with its hypersonic nuclear missiles will devastate our assets within minutes. They will not be launched from submarines: they will be launched from Russia.

This scenario also does not include any response from China which will join in to invade and conquer Taiwan.

The plan assumes that the Commander in Chief and the US military are competent and loyal to the Constitution.

OBiden would capitulate faster than the ash would settle.

The nuclear winter scenario was disproven decades ago. While air burst over cities produces little fall out, hard targets and melted down power plants will.
We also have to deal with an EMP and a total grid down situation. Not many here in the FUSA will survive, no food no gas and no infrastructure!
On the other hand those in the country with air able land water and stored food will likely survive, as well as our rulers in deep shelters, thank God they will be able to come out later and rule over us again! Russia had shelters for most of their, citizens, as I have heard the Chinese as well,

Dont plan to die. Many of the missles will be used to destroy other missles, reducing the number avaliable, so many will be spared where luckey. Further those out of the way with shelter, food and water will survive!
Cresson kerneys Book “nuclear war survival skills” is a good place to start, for accurate information!

It seems like most Americans think war with Russia will be like the mid east wars with third world countries, where we can watch the results on TV and drink beer, it wont! Russia has a more powerful military and will likly prevail! Why are we letting our leaders lead us to destruction? Over Ukraine?
The entire country seems delusional and insane, preferring feelings over hard facts if you can find them, a national cleansing might be a good thing!

The lipstick wearing high healed boys under milley could not fight their way out of a wet paper bag. They have depleted most of the ordinance, by shipping it to Ukraine, to be sold on the black market. The uniparty gets a cut after the big guys 10%.

Pure nonsense: GIGO as they say. That computer simulation is as accurate as those pretending to “prove” climate change. Another example of a bunch of eggheads with too much time on their hands playing war games.

If it is going to come, I hope it lands on my house. There is no need to vote in Heaven.

Easy to say, I have heard this comment for fifty years. Think about a slow death for your family from, radiation poisoning, dehydration, starvation, disease from un treated water or exposure, easy to say, a little harder to watch when you could have done something!!

These anayses are well know, and have been for a long time. The nuclear winter scenario is uncertain, and there will be questions about EMPs, but all sides understand the basics. Therefore:

I do not believe it will play out this way. I think all sides can be nearly certain of immediate and massive escalation, therefore, any side which determines that it *must* launch a single tactical nuclear weapon, will simultaneously launch nearly *ALL* of their nuclear weapons, as their only hope is near complete annihilation of all nuclear weapons which target them. Weapons held back will be only for targeting incomming weapons.

Here in the states, our only notification will the the permanent shutting down of the internet, massive radio jamming, and whatever your radiation detectors are telling you. No media will report anything since the information will not clear government release until long after it’s all over. (assuming there is any government at that time).

A likely scenario!

If Putin is not a WEF stooge (and the Ukrainian war a staged event), then nuclear war is indeed, *quite* likely. If he *is*, then yeah, unlikely.

The one bit of good news is that China appears to be stepping into the Ukrainian theatre with a small envoy. I suspect this may bolster the Russian position, and reduce the likelyhood they will feel cornered into a nuclear defense by a combined NATO invasion.
