The news that the Democrat Party is rigging primary elections across the country has not caused much anger except among progressives. Based on the information below, it appears that the corruption of the political elite has been exposed. If the information is true, then two thirds of the country’s voters will not participate in a system based in evil. Where does that leave us? I suppose we have to define “us”. I doubt there is an “us” in the country. We have been effectively been led into our different cattle pens based on divisions of wealth, education, race, religion or any other factor that can be used to divide us.
So we are the divided states of America or FUSA. I realize that I am begging the question but I do not see any means to unify the country short of a devastating war or large natural disaster. Either of these unifying events will devastate the population and by extension, the perceived power of the “government”. I do not have to wonder the response of our founding fathers: after the shock and initial anger wore off, their response would be to organize and revolt.

the people can not be all, & always, well informed. the part which is wrong [. . .] will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. if they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. we have had 13. states independant 11. years. there has been one rebellion. that comes to one rebellion in a century & a half for each state. what country before ever existed a century & half without a rebellion? & what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms. the remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. what signify a few lives lost in a century or two? the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. it is it’s natural manure.
What does it say about a country whose people no longer treasure what has been given to them at such a price?
What will it take for the sleeping giant to wake up and fight the tyranny that their apathy has created? I do not know the “when” but I do know that the people who understand why we were given the 2nd Amendment will revolt.

Poll: Non-Voters Cite “Corrupt System” as Reason for Opting Out
Nearly two-thirds of adult U.S. citizens will stay away from the polls during the coming midterm elections, and they say they have given up on the political parties and a system that they say is beyond reform and repair, according to a Suffolk University/USA Today nationwide survey of unregistered and unlikely voters.
A majority of those non-voters would like to see a third party or multiple parties.
As for their rationale, 68 percent of unregistered voters and registered-but-unlikely voters agreed with the statement: “I don’t pay much attention to politics because it is so corrupt.” That number is up sharply from a Suffolk University/USA TODAY survey of unregistered and unlikely voters taken in August 2012, when 54 percent agreed with that same statement about politics being “corrupt.”
Nearly 63 percent of respondents agreed or strongly agreed with the statement “I don’t pay much attention to politics because nothing ever gets done – it’s a bunch of empty promises,” compared to 59 percent who said the same nearly six years ago.
When honest men cannot have their voices heard, they will find ways to make their wishes known. Those who ignored those voices will pay dearly.
