Someone Protests Too Much

From a comment on the article: NC lawmakers bar LGBT protections against discrimination.

“It is clear who the Democrat party supports in this state and it is not God.” David, why do you always go to “God” when you post about homosexuals? I’ve never read anywhere in the Bible that God loves all sinners, except homosexuals. I HAVE read in the Bible where ALL sinners are equal. “Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from sin?” “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” “These things I command you, that ye love one another.” “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Granted, most homosexuals have been forced away from God by self righteous pastors. But there are some who refuse to be preached hate, love God and repent their sins. Your hate for homosexuals harbors on obsession.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the past, the racist label was used as the last resort in defense of an argument. And it was effective for a long period. But now the new label is “hater”. If I have an opinion that someone disagrees with, the dreaded hater label is pulled out. So let’s address this comment:
Why do you always go to “God” when you post about homosexuals?
Here is my answer:
Romans 1
God’s Wrath Against Sinful Humanity
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.  For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;  they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.  Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Unless someone disagrees, this passage shows that God cursed men and women with homosexuality as punishment. I don’t see that God hated them. I also do not hate them but I understand sin and its consequences.
Mark 6:13
And lead us not into temptation,but deliver us from the evil one.
The Bible does instruct us to stay away from temptation (sin) because no one is perfect. The best way to not sin is not to be put into temptation. Or in the case decided in Raleigh, putting men in women’s bathrooms in definitely a case of being led into temptation. Are all sins treated equally? Not according to Jesus:
Mark 3:28-29
“Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”.
I know some people will read this and consider me to be self-righteous. I admit that I am not perfect but I strive to be perfect.
Romans 12:1-2
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
As for your closing:
Your hate for homosexuals harbors on obsession.
You may not agree with the legislature’s ruling (that what master’s make), but you do not have to take it out on me. I will give you some comfort: I devote very little time to the efforts of the homosexual agenda to promote immorality. This reply should appease my obsession for at least two months.
Jhn 8:10
When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, [fn] “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? [fn] Has no one condemned you?”
She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and [fn] sin no more.”
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
What must be pointed out when the homosexual points to this testimony, is the fact, that Jesus commands the woman to “sin no more.” He then stands and gives this promise to those who repent, “He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life,”
One cannot continue to walk in darkness and say they follow Jesus.
The problem with a reprobate mind is that one can no longer discern good from evil.
Even as with a little child, the first response when confronted with rebuke and loving admonishment is denial. Next in succession is confused justification. Following that is anger and lashing out.
Confession and forgiveness is not the end of the process. It is the beginning.
Sacrifice is the evidence of commitment to righteousness. Forgiveness is it’s own reward.
Those bent on self-destruction insist you accept them as they are, and conform to their twisted ideals. The sacrifice therefore must be yours, not their own. So believes the reprobate mind.
Morals after all, cannot be constant and therefore are fluid and apply differently to each individual on any given day.
Just forget the basis of your morals and love your neighbor. That is the mantra of today’s dark and corrupted Christianity. Anything less is cultist.
“Someone protests too much.” HA! Isn’t THAT the pot calling the kettle black?
Careful Mark. In many circles that
remark is interpreted as hate speech and right-wing code slur.
Of course you already knew that though, didn’t you?
