This is probably my biggest pet peeve. When people say this. I instantly blow a gasket. Just doing my job…so are drug dealers and prostitutes. Doing something for money is a “job”. Does, at some point, there arrive an occasion where people MORALLY JUSTIFY there actions regardless of whether you are bribed with compensation for those actions? The height of cognitive dissonance. Doing something that you would never do on your own because you have an internal moral dilemma. If you get paid though? We’ll that green lights it all! Who is the prostitute I would actually argue.
