The players should have said NO, en masse! The owners, officials, would have had no choice but to acquiesce. They did not, however, and are left with the dire consequences of not doing so.
I want to sympathize, but these are grown men making millions off a kids game. I live paycheck to paycheck, so there’s not any common ground to share. I also stood up to my evil HR demigod and said NO to universal mask mandates and got fired for that as well.

The NFL makes Billions……money TALKS. Imagine if a majority of NFL players striked. Stopped playing until the vaccine issue was brought to the public and addressed.
That would cause people to notice.
It would never happen, but imagine if it did. The NFL and TV networks would lose billions going into playoff season
