If ever the Time should come, when vain & aspiring Men shall possess the highest Seats in Government, our Country will stand in Need of its experienced Patriots to prevent its Ruin.
Samuel Adams
The above premise accurately describes the government in Washington, DC. Power and greed have replaced honor and duty. Do we have experienced Patriots to prevent our ruin? Who would you classify as a statesman on the level of Patrick Henry or Thomas Paine? Who would you follow into harm’s way in your own town or community to secure your children’s freedom?
Like the thief in the night, our politicians have eroded our freedom by enslaving us in debt that can never be repaid. Half of “We the People” receive a government check for assistance and the “public sector” has become the engine for tyranny through excessive taxation, fear and regulation. The solution will not be found in the next election: the solution is an awakening in the people.
The final change in government has already happened. The 2008 election of Obama in conjunction with a Democrat controlled Congress through 2010 overthrew the last vestiges of our founding principles. The 2010 elections which resulted in a Republican majority in the House did little more than slow the march to Socialism:
- We still have no budget
- We still have national health care
- Unemployment is still over 9% (another example of the government’s lack of respect for the people by manipulating information)
- Our debt ceiling raises were ceded to the executive branch by John Boehner in August
- The NDAA destroyed the fabric of the Bill of Rights with the “blessings” of both parties
- The president used the State of the Union to outline his vision for dictatorial powers in order to “streamline” government
Do we need experienced patriots to prevent our ruin? Yes. Where do we find these men and women? Do you personally know a true statesman who has honor and integrity to speak out for our country? And that is our problem. We need to find (and also become) statesmen who will save our country not through government office but by deeds. Find the business owner who is standing on principle against government regulations. Expose corruption and government incompetence at all levels in your newspapers, websites and YouTube.
The task before us must be undertaken in conjunction with our Judeo-Christian heritage without hesitation as our forefathers understood. Do we stand for the rule of law as originally taken from the Bible and incorporated into the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution? Or do we sit idly by as a Supreme Court Justice belittles our Constitution that she has sworn to uphold. What do you think the founding fathers and mothers would have done to Justice Ginsburg? The Catholic church is standing up as our Presbyterian ministers did in the period leading up to the American Revolution. Imagine if more pastors and ministers stood up for the Word of God instead of the tax exemption of the 501(C)3.
How does the government view patriots who speak out for our principles and beliefs? The following excerpt outlines their response to people who show dissent to tyranny. Now is the time for all good men and women to stand up for our convictions, irregardless of the consequences of a government which has labelled us as terrorists.
If you agree, forward this article.
David DeGerolamo
Ter·ror·ist (Noun): Anyone Who Disagrees with the Government
I noted in 2009:
The Department of Homeland Security and police forces label anyone who they disagree with – or who disagrees with government policies – as “terrorists”.
Don’t believe me?
Well, according to a law school professor, pursuant to the Military Commissions Act, “Anyone who … speaks out against the government’s policies could be declared an ‘unlawful enemy combatant’ and imprisoned indefinitely. That includes American citizens.”
And according to an FBI memo, peace protesters are being labeled as “terrorists”.
***
Anyone who disagrees with the “acceptable” way of looking at things is a terrorist.
How is this different from Stalin or Mao’s use of labels such as “enemy of the state”?
This may have seemed over-the-top to some, but events have proven it true.
For example, the following is considered terrorism or suspected terrorism in modern America:
- Questioning war (even though war reduces our national security; and see this)
- Criticizing the government’s targeting of innocent civilians with drones (although killing innocent civilians with drones is one of the main things which increases terrorism. And see this)
In fact – since 9/11 – virtually all dissent has been equated with terrorism.
David:
This article along with so many others that you have written is right on target.
Thank you again for what you do every day and your service to “We The People”.
Yesterday I spent approx. 1 &1/2 hours talking with members of our N.C. legislature and in the Republican Party in general about the N.C. Voter ID Act (HB 351).
The initial bill passed last year and was vetoed by Gov. Perdue and they ratified it and will submit it again this new session of 2012. It is gutted and worthless and does nothing to change things. It caters to the Democrats who want to continue fraudulent practices at the voting poles like having people pose as voters when in fact the persons are dead, dual voting , etc.
Please look at the bill and make everyone aware of it and lets all work together to get it passed with “No” exceptions, no may be’s, etc in the bill. Otherwise, Obama will get another 4 years to screw up this country and drive us into anarchy !
Although some folks are waking up to these facts the things that amaze me is the majority of the population. In talking with many folks they either don’t want to hear it, feel the government is there make their life easier to more power if fine with them or it could never happen here. Even my own family thinks I am nuts even though they see and agree things are going well. Even more I am amazed at how uninformed the “VAST” majority of our society is and how they actually want to remain uninformed.
