There is no evidence that Mr. Franklin said the above quote. It doesn’t make it any less true. An overwhelming number of readers here say Trust in the Lord and everything will be fine. I say it. Let me ask you a question: when was the last time that you prayed to the Lord for guidance? I thank the Lord everyday for allowing me to do His work in His name.
How do I know I am walking in His path for me? Simple: the tasks that he shows me to do are never ending and the results are truly astonishing. Some days I just have to look back and take stock of all that I have done. But that is not the truth: it is what I have done that He wanted me to do.
Consider: If you fail to pray, you are planning to fail. Or if you pray but do not heed His guidance, you will fail. The point is that the Lord will direct your actions if you pray and listen. Sitting on a couch waiting for the end is not a plan that He wants for anyone. The Bible shows God directing His people and it also shows that they do not always listen. The consequences of not listening or acting are also shown in the Bible.
Every man or woman is given different gifts in order to do the work of the Lord. Some people are destined for great works. Most of us are not and should be doing His work on the scale that He knows we can do. My work is to build community on a local level in order to rebuild a holier nation for our children. And yes I know: salvation is not based on works.
I can tell you that I had never envisioned living out the rest of my life in the mountains of Western North Carolina. I never envisioned building a community center and buying equipment to build a better place on multiple levels. I never envisioned having to fight an evil empire that is hell bent on destroying every aspect of the Lord. I never envisioned our people not standing up and fighting for our children.
On this day of Thanksgiving, I pray that people get on their knees and bless the Lord for the bounty that He has given us. Pray for guidance in this war and pray to walk on the path that He has chosen for you, in His name and for His glory.
David DeGerolamo
“On this day of Thanksgiving…”
Amen, Brother!
Well said.
Whining is correct spelling
Ah. I wondered if I was missing something. Thanks
‘SMART CITIES’ Worldwide Being Converted Into ‘Open Concentration Camps,’ Says Ex-Silicon Valley Engineer Turned Whistleblower Watch video.
That is a good article tom. Will watch video also.
i believe it is all about the disconnect. This is our Stand. Set- apart to the best of our abilities as He directs us. we are not going to stop the beast system from being implemented.
Yes it is worth watching follower.
Whinging is a British term for complaining. Prince Harry and his “wife” have been referred to as “Ginger (he has red hair) and the Whinger.”
David -- -- I am thankful for your words of exhortation, counsel, direction, and praise.
We are all blessed by your efforts.
Thank you, brother !
Thank you and have a Blessed day.
Great article thank you, our God is awesome, and I hope everyone has a blessed day. I quit whining when I was a child, at 17 I joined the army and did my duty, I have no regrets as to my service. Now once again I am called to duty and will not whine about laying my life down for our God given duty, God, family and country, so help me God.
Or brother, I was USAF Security, making God’s enemy, my enemy, lay down his life for his god (Satan, 2 Corinthians 4:4) and country (Hell)!
Yes, all of satans seed.
AMEN
Pray and act. A man prays every day that he would win the lottery. Day after day. After a while, an angel of the Lord appeared to the man and said, “God says give him a break. At least buy a lottery ticket.”
The best joke/ truth I have heard all month!
Yes prayer is good, but God gave us two arms, eyes, ears and for some brains to make the world better!
I pray for guidance, not a new Mercedes! To each his own.
I will add my Amen. God bless you.
It’s whinging I say. Whinging.
Well put. I know that God had guided me most of my life, even when I did not know it. Of late it has been on many things I have no idea how I afforded to get them, or what or what myself or another will use all of it for. I know at 65 I can’t do it by myself, but with God’s power I would be able to. I know I have a totally disabled 35 year old son that for 34 years of his life I prayed for my way, for God to heal him, he has allowed him to do well, but for the past year I have learned to pray for God to do his own will with my son and he is not healed, but is doing great, and very happy. My son was baptized when he was six and accepted Christ then, as he has other times since, so I should have never worried about him as I know where his place is. Thank you David.
You’re welcome.
Could not have been said better. Thank you David
Good morning and well said.
One day at a time.
Jeremiah 5:31
“The prophets prophesy falsely, the priests bear rule by their means, and my people love to have it so, and what will ye do in the ends thereof?”
People wonder where God is while evil runs rampant. He hasn’t gone anywhere. The leaders are compromised . It’s not a passion but a job to them with social status.
The people want it that way. Then, when something like Covid comes along, they do whatever their leader tells them. It’s easier that way.
what is praying but whinging. pathetic
Come back when you are serious.
