Please contact me concerning your investigation of Obama and his eligibility. I am the leader of a Tea Party in Northern Illinois. I wish to pursue this as a main topic in our gatherings using Surprise, Arizona, Tea Party as the prime example of this Constitutional matter. I am a Sun City Grand resident who recently drafted the following op-ed type of article in an attempt to inform and energize the public about the seriousness of our huge federal debt. I am looking for a way to get this in front of the public as a civic duty and wonder whether the Surprise Tea Party group might want to consider this as another worthwhile project that would fall within the national Tea Party focus on our out-of-control federal spending and debt.

As the 2012 Presidential nomination and election process unfolds, it has become clear that this subject of federal spending and debt — and specifically what to do to regain control — should be one of the top level subjects for debate.

If you would like to understand the dark history and and factual details of “Baseline Budgeting further, I would be pleased to brief your group some time soon, perhaps at one of your meetings.

“The Dark Secret Behing America’s Debt Crisis

Washington’s spending culture represents a very consequential threat to America. But, the facts behind this threat are little known to the public at large.

Congress’s mysterious “Baseline Budgeting” process has for nearly four decades acted as a driving force behind today’s horrendous federal debt. Legislated in 1974 during the political power struggles following Watergate, Baseline Budgeting is acting to automatically expand our huge federal deficit every year. Its main components are:

● Current fiscal year spending is used as the starting point for outlays during each following year on the theory that it reflects the cost of legislation, regulations and policy already in place, and that all (?) such spending is well managed.

● Then the above spending level is projected 10 years into the future; along with automatic annual percentage increases to reflect (i) projected inflation, and (ii) expected higher participation levels in entitlement programs. This increase varies from 3% to 10% for hundreds of federal agencies.

● If new legislation or regulations (Stimulus Bill, Obamacare, et al) are adopted in any year, that year’s spending baseline is increased accordingly, thereby forming an even higher level for the 10 year projection.

● Any action to reduce a 10 year budget projection is defined as a budget cut, even though it may only slow the rate of future spending increases rather than reduce the cost, size and reach of the current government.

● This Baseline Budgeting process continues irrespective of how much revenue is received from federal taxation.

The mind-numbing complexity of this scheme understandably discourages public protest. But, it is possible to see through the fog by looking at (i) the way the budget numbers work, and (ii) the basic ideology of Baseline Budgeting:

i. The Numbers – Federal spending in 2011 was nearly $4 Trillion, with only about $2 Trillion in tax receipts (100% overrun). Our many years of accumulated debt is now over $15 Trillion (that’s 12 zeros, or 15,000 Billion, or 15,000,000 Million). Baseline Budgeting with its ever-higher annual baselines and compounded yearly increases will cause this accumulated debt to grow from $15 Trillion to a staggering $25 Trillion by 2022.

To understand these numbers better, let’s take 7 of the 12 zeros off and relate them to an average Washington D.C. government employee’s family income — about $200,000/yr. Then let’s also say that our DC family lost control and spent $400,000 in 2011, and they charged their 100% overrun to credit cards and home loans that already had $1,500,000 due. Somewhat concerned, the DC family cuts $2,000 (½ of 1%) from its current spending, a percentage not greatly different from the meager $20B cut (also ½ of 1%) that accompanied the July 2011 federal debt limit debate.

ii. The Ideology – Much like our fictional DC family, Baseline Budgeting is all about advancing a lifestyle – the ideological lifestyle of Progressivism that has kicked into overdrive since the 1960s to advance huge entitlement and Keynesian spending, with only a speed bump in the Reagan era. U.S. debt grew from $283 Billion in 1970 to $15 Trillion in 2011!

Baseline Budgeting has remained a dogged threat because of its secretive, remarkably sophisticated political design. Accepting each year’s actual spending as an unquestioned, ever-higher spending baseline for 10 more years provides enormous political cover for stealth Progressivism … and hundreds of billions in waste and fraud.

Finally, the Baseline Budgeting law specifically allows Progressives to cry wolf to a fearful (but lifestyle-conflicted) public that any meaningful reduction in the 10-year budget projection is a draconian budget cut. Top illustrtate, any attempt to remove the automatic annual increases from a 10 year budget projection could be ballyhooed by Progressives as a disastrous $10 Trillion budget cut, even though current year spending would be largely untouched.

When our DC family tried to cut spending more than a meager ½ of 1%, the spouse threatened divorce rather than give up their lifestyle. America cannot continue to be addicted to a lifestyle of runaway federal spending that is looting our future.

Thus, America is being seriously deceived by misappropriation of our national wealth and failed leadership at a level that our founders could never have conceived.

Stopping this deception with a reformed spending process should be a major issue for the 2012 Presidential election. “

First,I’m a true supporter of Gov.Jan Brewers and Sheriff Arpaio.There are only a couple of things I recently found out,that really troubles me conerning the MCSO, but I am 100% behind this recent investigation,as after Arizona’s SB1070 law was passed,then the White House and this recent administration got involved, where the Justice Dept then “Blocked” some parts the of SB1070 law,then maybe our presidentand his administration should be investigated. A lot of American People as well as their family are really suffering right now because of the economy,and if the Federal Government as well as the current President and his administration are not going to handle it properly, then let each state, Arizona,Utah,etc enforce these law’s on their own.

I got this message back from Dr. Taitz:
“it has been 51 days since Arpaio’s press conference, he still did not submit a report to the District Attorney for prosecution and he is still refusing to testify in depositions or in court
Without him submiting his findings to the DA or appearing in court, nothing can be done with his findings, the judges cannot rule on them
Urge him to sign a consent to appear in court in my cases. I am the only attorney who has cases in discovery phase”
