I would definitely get one of those, that’s amazing.
Wow! How do you get one of those?
For $300 and change you can get a Taurus TX22 with an FRT. 2ANinja yt channel used a high speed camera and calculated a fire rate close to 1900 rpm. No stamp, extra paperwork, nothing.
Per the question posted, if it was a no-strings gift, yes, I would like that pistol.
How many rounds hit one of the downrange targets?
Having dumped mags on FA before, you can’t hit shit. A 3-rd burst even is difficult to keep on target with muzzle flip, and takes serious practice … unless you’ve got a whorde coming after you, one pull, one bullet.
I would never use full auto. Controlled pairs or triples at most.
Word. Automatic fire turns money into noise. – H/T to Clint Smith.
Unless it is aimed fire from a belt-fed. Mr. Clint Smith, I bet, never spent any time in the army being supported by belt-feds while maneuvering on the enemy. Why else would he say something this stupid?
With forced reset triggers and super-safeties, civie belt-feds are now a thing. Belt-feds are no excuse NOT TO AIM. No “spray and pray”.
You are right he was never in the Army. Clint Smith was a Marine in Viet Nam for 7 months. Shot in the shoulder in a late evening firefight, he had to fight all night (no morphine!) before being medevacked out the next morning. He has his Purple Heart. He was in a small unit (hence no heavy weapons to back up the 6 or 8 man patrol) that worked with locals to protect a village and bridge. He has trained more first tier SWAT and military folks (worked for PDs, HK firearms training both PD and .mil and founded Thunder Ranch after working at Gunsite under Col. Cooper. Special ops sends their shooters to him to train. He knows what he is talking about. He does not teach large unit combat maneuvering. Think small unit special ops. Look up his youtube channel under Thunder Ranch. You might learn something
I didn’t hear a whole lot of noise.
It’s a 22 lr, not a full power gun, like a 9mm. It’s a 22 lr, full size Glock, EASY to control! About 40 years ago, a friend of mine came up with a full auto, Mexican pistol about the size of a small 380. No suppressor, VERY controllable, very effective. We lived in So. Cal., back then and we were into Baja and So. Cal., off road racing, so we ran into a lot of moneyed, interesting, friendly Mexicans.
I’ll take the Glock and pass on the Taurus. (obligatory) NOT THAT THERE’S ANYTHING WRONG WITH TAURUS.
Thanks for saying that,a fully auto handgun is the stupidest thing ever.To answer your question none of those rounds hit anything but the floor,
If you notice, the only noticeable muzzle flip was on the first shot, in my time in the Army I fired thousands of rounds full auto. I would buy one if available.
Fired .45 cal. Grease gun in the US Army. Fun but only for close up. Fired 9mm Uzi in Rhodesia, was pretty good at it. All other full auto I fired was on mounted tank weapons. Coax and .50 cal. I wouldn’t mind having one of those full auto Glock 22lr.
A new world record in the time it takes to convert $$ into (a little bit of) sound and confetti.
Personally I witnessed a lot of spraying and praying on the battlefield…almost all the time in wasteful panic, too high, and a waste of precious ammo (depending on the firefight).
However, in the right hands and circumstances that silence has a place, but it is limited.
I would add it to my arsenal for certain situations, but it would not be my only hand gun carry.
Neat toy!
