T.L. Davis: Colossal Failure of Government

Never Let a Serious Crisis Go to Waste by Philip Mirowski | Times ...

History is an incredible predictor of future events, but it is generally unknown or more often misunderstood. Cinco de Mayo is indicative of this misunderstanding. A lot of Americans think it is the Mexican independence day, but it’s not. Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of the victory over the French Navy that arrived to collect the money owed to France, Britain and Spain. The French troops fought a battle in the city of Puebla, where they lost, providing Mexico a cause for celebration, if short-lived.

Today, we hear of the U.S. and China arguing over money owed in one way or another, to one or the other. A lot of things can start a war, most often it is money. The rise of Hitler was due to the demand for reparations for World War I, when Germany was broke, suffering from a depression and still those owed would not give a reprieve. The resentment caused by this allowed Hitler to build an army.

Millions of Americans are losing their livelihoods complying with stay-at-home orders. This is happening to the same people who have watched the deep state actors attempt a coup while CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC and the rest cheer on this government corruption, knowing deep down that the same people that stand behind them, also stand behind the petty tyrants occupying governor’s mansions. Governors who vindictively impose harsher and more stringent penalties for disobedience. Make no mistake, it is not the ultimate health and well being of the people they are trying to protect, it is their power, their autocratic rule they believe to be in danger.

The average American is just now trying to digest the reality of the bureaucratic prison they have built for themselves. At the same time, the communists are coming out in force to install their utopia. Never let a crisis go to waste. They are on the cusp of everything they have dreamed of and all it takes is for good people to do nothing, stay at home, obey the rules, fear their power. But the weakness of communism is its inability to understand economics. The true leaders of communism know the economics don’t work, but they rely on slogans and faulty assumptions to inspire their minions to revolt. In fact, anyone who does understand economics cannot believe in socialism or communism as anything other than a means to obtain power. This pandemic is not the panacea they think it is, it’s the warning shot across the bow to people that would otherwise never see the reality of the situation, an enlightenment of sorts.
