Take Me Out to the Raul Game

Yesterday was the sort of horrible news day in which all of the seemingly unrelated jigsaw pieces end up belonging to one big depressing picture.

In Belgium, a number of terrorist bombs killed dozens of innocents and wounded hundreds more, including Americans. To the surprise of absolutely no one who isn’t in the Obama administration, Isis is taking credit for the explosive deaths, giving further proof that Islam is overdue to either clean house or change their slogan to “The Religion of Pieces.

Of course, with American casualties (including a U.S. serviceman and his family) did Barack Hussein Obama turn his laser-like focus to strong anti-terrorist rhetoric and actions? He did not. He simply threw a few seconds of “thoughts and prayers, blah, blah, blah, we’ll stand with Belgium, blah, blah, blah” into his previously scripted speech to the desperately poor people of Cuba. Seriously, it’s a miracle he didn’t actually say the words “insert city name here” into his generic Hallmark sentiments.

And his actual speech in Cuba was one that Isis would have found hugely agreeable. Confirming their every assertion of American evil and imperialism, the “New Camelot” president took a long, splashy leak on the grave of the “Old Camelot” president by bringing up the Bay of Pigs invasion.  He also declared “the blue waters beneath Air Force One once carried American battleships to this island — to liberate, but also to exert control over Cuba.” Hey, are we rotten bastards or what?!

Americans like to be on the winning team. Who doesn’t? Maybe the question we should be asking instead of who won, should be who lost? And then ask what did we lose?

Our country has lost its way: spiritually, economically and politically. Our greatest strength was our unity. The antonym for unity is diversity. A White House bathed in rainbow colors was not a victory sign: it was a clear signal that we lost our unity.

How do you win a country back? You have to admit that you lost it first. No one wants to come in second. Does this look like we are winners:

Winners do not give up. This country was founded on moral principles under Godly men and women who understood what the real goal was. You cannot have winners without a contest. And the coming contest will not be a game.

So the uber cool, detached, Saul Alinsky heir flashes the boyish grin while oozing his self-confident determination to leave a legacy of radical Leftist progress while the JV team litters an airport and a train with death and limbs…a JV team he allowed to take root…a JV team he threatened but really did nothing of significance about…a JV team who’s ideology he won’t even say out loud…while he dithers and talks and dithers and talks…..

So who is to blame for the second and third terms of an intentional Jimmy Carter?

The Obama collation?

Obama’s race and charisma?

The Democratic superior get out the vote software?

Low information voters AKA the Sheeple?

Mitt Romney who beat the snot out of Obama in the first debate then blew it?

The Jackie Gleason Governor of NJ who gave Obama a Bro Hug during Hurricane Sandy?

The 3 million registered Republicans who stayed home in 2012?

The Unholy Trinity: Big Media – Academia – Hollywood?

All of the Above?

My 89 year old lifelong Democrat Mother just changed her party affiliation to Republican because of Obama.

Now this is real HOPE and CHANGE!!!

The corpses of a thousand elected officials, adorning every lamppost down Pennsylvana Avenue, would be the beginning of real HOPE and CHANGE…

Alas, I doubt I shall ever witness such a grand thing accomplished.
