Tear gas fired at anti-police demo in Albuquerque a protest against recent police shootings turned violent as riot police fired tear gas at demonstrators in Albuquerque on Monday. The protest, which involved participants blocking traffic and shouting anti-police slogans, lasted for more than 10 hours and took place next to the University of New Mexico. The protest was centered on Albuquerque police’s involvement in 23 fatal shootings since 2010.
