The Best Analysis of the Situation in Oregon

Image result for sacred honor

I have posted several videos and articles concerning the situation in Oregon. I have not commented personally but I have been following the Hammond case for several months. Some observations:

  1. The media quickly took control of the narrative. I never heard anyone who is currently in the “federal” Malheur building call themselves members of the dreaded “militia”.
  2. Most of the media’s account was not based on facts or what precipitated this standoff: show prep and investigative journalism was at a very low level.
  3. Where was the outcry for the Hammonds? Any reasonable judge would have agreed with the first judge’s assessment that this is cruel and unusual punishment. And yet they are political prisoners.
  4. A reasonable society would have requested a pardon of the Hammonds immediately.
  5. The patriot community talks too much.

While I will still reserve my thoughts on this situation to myself for now, I highly recommend everyone read Max Velocity’s assessment. I also recommend that sentient people think long and hard about what they will do in the future because the vortex is spinning out of control around the world.

It has been a few years since I have read Atlas Shrugged, but the idea of a community living free had gripped me. Is there such a place where the majority believes like that? I moved to the south in search of Bible believing people that worked hard and asked for nothing they could not get on their own. Instead I landed in a community where drugs prevail, going to church is a social event, sticking some one else with your job is the norm and men wearing tootoos and fairy wings is an accepted thing. I think it is time like minded people start to gather together. The support of the community is half the battle.

I think I will follow Robert E. Lee’s example. When my State secedes from the Union, then it will be time to fight. Those who recall history will know that then Col Robert E Lee and then Lt. J.E.B. Stuart were the officers who recaptured Harper’s Ferry Arsenal from John Brown. Many of the police officers who may have to retake the Malheur center may agree completely that the BLM and District Court have over-stepped their authority. It will not stop them from doing their sworn duty.

Their sworn duty is to uphold the law. That land is illegally held by the federal government. So for them to go take it back makes them partakers in the crime. In case you are not familiar with the Constitution, the one you swore to defend against enemies both foreign and domestic. I’ll post Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17 for you.

“To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings;”

Nowhere on that land is there a fort, magazine, arsenal or dock yard.

Tom for what it is worth I was born and raised in the South and let’s just say “it ain’t what it used to be.” The bastard Lincoln and his minions have finally gotten their way, with Dixie getting the worst of it.

Long ago were we stripped of our God given rights. Bombarded with propaganda, forced into that which we valiantly resisted, only to have our children brainwashed, our culture destroyed, our states once again invaded by foreigners, and now our history is being erased. To be blunt most are to feeble, deceived, laethargic, and or spineless to make an effort. In fact I find most folks just don’t care and get upset when you try to engage them in conversation beyond what kind of beer and from where the pizza will, come before the next games comes on the TV. All I can say is ‘doom on them.’

Now if we can talk David into,or if anyone else would make an effort maybe, we can find a suitable time and place for a relaxing meal or just a cup of coffee for some interesting conversation. I am in Wayne county but am willing to travel so let me know if there is any interest.

I would be interested in that. I am not sure what state Wayne country is in. But I live in middle Tennessee and would be able to travel.

Hey and thanks. It would just be encouraging and refreshing to meet with, discuss, and put a face to some of the other posters who may be willing and able.
May God bless your meeting.

What do you mean the only way to know is have the Supreme Court decide. We have the law in plain English that we can read.

Where in this does it say Federal Parks/Wildlife Refuge/any else not listed above? Because the 10th Amendment is pretty clear that if it is not listed in the Constitution, the Federal government cannot do it.

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

English is my first language and I do understand it. I also will not sit quiet while someone tries to justify a crime.

So are you saying that the court has law making powers?

in an era devoid of God and therefore honorable men, this is the reversion from reason to barbarity. For if men refuse to honor agreements made in good faith then the only recourse is subjugation or actions to stop it. In the end and unfortunately it will likely be FORCE that decides the issue. Just as government uses the threat of force and or force to subject citizens to power grabs and tyranny in the end it is the citizens and their threat of force that is required end the tyranny and address the power grab.

“Give me liberty or give me death” was and will always remain the spine and demand of the patriot.

Well at least we can now understand your motivations, “I am retired, I camp on BLM land. I have to admit I’m glad it isn’t held privately.”

For many of us it isn’t about our personal motivations but about the cause of limited government, liberty, and the rule of law as opposed to some benefit government may offer us at the expense of our fellow citizens.

Your comment does beg a question though, does it bother you when a government overreach costs you personally such as taxation for abortion, welfare, Obama phones, benefits for illegals etc. etc. etc.? From a reasoned a logical standpoint it would appear impossible but I look forward to your answer.

“The place to fight these kinds of fights is in the court. Simple as that.”

Would that be the same courts who ruled, outside the limits of the enumerated powers of the Federal Government and without consent of the governed, that women have the ‘right’ to kill their unborn? States and citizens MUST recognize sodomite unions? Forced bussing is legal? The 10 Commandments are a violation of the 1st Amendment while their ruling is not? Manger scenes are illegal? Government sponsored discrimination is the form of quotas is legal? Indefinite detention without benefit of due process is legal? Secret courts are legal and home invasions with secret warrants are legal, etc. etc. etc.?

So exactly what are the odds of attaining a fair trial in such courts? Do you keep the fox in your hen house?

Words have meanings. The Supreme Court is not there to change the meanings of those words. The Constitution is the law and their job is to rule on the law. They have no power to change the law, only to rule on it.

The excerpts I posted are clear and easy to understand. Bundy said that the land belonged to the State or county. He stated they are there because the court does not rule on the law. I just posted the law. Tell me where in the law a federal wildlife refuge is legal.

So you are ok with a crime being committed as long as it benefits you? That is a common belief system with your generation.

By all means forgive my ignorance but it is difficult to understand claims of support for the cause of liberty while claiming to enjoy personal side benefits of the violation of it. My confusion may be my resolute position that violations of one persons rights is a crime against ALL citizens and the Constitution isn’t a list of suggestions.

Regarding you position on the protestors exercising the Second Amendment RIGHTS, why should those rights be surrendered for the benefit of those who do not support them? Would the partiots at Lexington and Concord have achieved their goals by giving up their arms? Keep in mind they held no such rights under the rule of the King.

I, as the protestors have stated, would prefer to avoid violence but the citizens of the U.S. never signed on to be a land of Ghandis who’s liberties were allowed or denied at the whim of government. No, our fathers begat the means to preserve liberty and it would be foolish indeed to lay them down for no reason other than to appease that which oppresses us all.

“Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated. ” Thomas Paine

David post a quote by Samuel Adams today in that fits this conversation.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

It pretty much sums up my feeling on you and people like you.
