Lincoln’s “plan to integrate the newly freed slaves into the South’s economic and social order?”

Houston, I think we have a problem.

Without quoting a man I loath, Lincoln, let us simply remember it was the Great Obfuscator that intended to deport the “freed” slaves out of the Union and the conquered lands of the Confederacy.

In fact, if we look at Lincoln’s comments and actions, I believe it is arguable and likely he himself would have opposed the 13th Amendment. As evidence we can consider the fact he never freed a slave under his authority as President.
