The Lesser of Two Evils

If you haven’t read his book, The Most Dangerous Superstition, you should. I highly recommend it.

The fact of the matter is they’re right. The only solution is to put a stop to the game. I have friends who firmly believe in the system and they keep saying “we just have to elect the right people.” My question in response is, when are the right people ever going to be on the ballot? Hint, they won’t. The process is such that it turns away the right people and ensures they can’t if they try.

As far as voting goes, I am a bit mixed. I agree with what they are saying, and yet I didn’t vote in a local election and instead of having one of the few that was fiscally conservative as my city council ward representative, we got the guy who wanted to focus on race relations and police accountability. The result was decided by 1 or 3 votes depending on which source you read.
