Love these animated maps. They make the battles so much easier to understand.
The story and map of the Southern Campaign is important to study, imo. The “Revolutionary” War in the South was also a Civil War, that had to be “settled” before the British could be effectively confronted. Guerilla Militia harrassed the British. The American Army fought and lost tactically but strategically won, by maneuver and constantly engaging the British at multiple locations. Similar to Nathan Bedford Forrest in the Civil War after Chattanooga fell. Unfortunately, most of the Confederate Generals of the Western Theatre were more like the British Generals of the Revolutionary War. Sherman was another Tarleton burning Georgia and SC.and there was no Southern Militia left having been drafted into the CSA Army.
One War Won, One War Lost. What comes next??? Something, probably a Combination of Both Wars, with very little survival skills to supplement our Supply Chain, Technical & Energy Dependence,
