The Summer Kitchen used to be an everyday concept for keeping the heat out of your home when you were canning and cooking when it is to warm to have a fire going that hot and for a long time. Think about a place in your home or outside your home where you can make a place to prepare food. Most modern homes are not designed to make processing the harvest to easy. Retrofitting a home can be difficult. Consider modifying or building an outdoor Summer Kitchen to be the center for canning, processing livestock etc.
