A report declassified last month by the Department of Homeland Security is raising serious concerns about the possibly illegal involvement by the intelligence community in U.S. domestic political affairs.
Entitled “Domestic Violent Extremism Poses Heightened Threat in 2021,” the March 1 Report from the Director of National Intelligence states that it was prepared “in consultation with the Attorney General and Secretary of Homeland Security—and was drafted by the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with contributions from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).”
Its primary point is this: “The IC [intelligence community] assesses that domestic violent extremists (DVEs) who are motivated by a range of ideologies and galvanized by recent political and societal events in the United States pose an elevated threat to the Homeland in 2021.” While asserting that “the most lethal” of these threats is posed by “racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists (RMVEs) and militia violent extremists (MVEs),” it makes clear that its target encompasses a wide range of groups from the left (Antifa, animal rights and environmental activists, pro-choice extremists and anarchists: “those who oppose capitalism and all forms of globalization”) to the right (sovereign citizen movements, anti-abortion activists and those deemed motivated by racial or ethnic hatreds).
The U.S. security state apparatus regards the agenda of “domestic violent extremists” as “derived from anti-government or anti-authority sentiment,” which includes “opposition to perceived economic, racial or social hierarchies.” In sum, to the Department of Homeland Security, an “extremist” is anyone who opposes the current prevailing ruling class and system for distributing power. Anyone they believe is prepared to use violence, intimidation, or coercion in pursuit of these causes then becomes a “domestic violent extremist,” subject to a vast array of surveillance, monitoring, and other forms of legal restrictions:
Back in the days of our founding fathers, Ben Franklin said “we had better all hang together because if we don’t we will surely hang separately!”
Ironically it’s laws created by the biggest and most lethal criminals in the whole damn world! Wow! How many people already bite their tongue bc worried about these bigots putting you on a list for speaking the truth? RIDICULOUS!
This is how they choose to get rid of our 1st amendment rights and it will work on SOME. I will pray people still speak their mind, as they should. I can already see it though, more people are being cautious and scared.
Well GOOD!!!! I’ll bet King George called our Founders ‘domestic terrorists’, too. Damn fine thing to be considered worthy of such a high honor!
Yes. I expected this because from my early 20s I have had the honor of being ‘watched’, ‘tapped’, ‘followed’, or video taped’ by various agencies and/or private people. I also have had the experience of all my emails, letters, personal diaries and day timers brought into court as evidence. Mind you, some of this was because I was a ‘feminist’ in the 70s and later worked in the elite’s backyard on historic preservation they didn’t want or because I was a friend of someone of interest based on ideas in their books. I tried to warn others but they thought they were genuinely special, wiser, speaking under God’s protection. When the censoring began they considered it titillating that they or a friend was in FB Jail. They were loath to remove their accounts from FB and twitter because they chaffed at being forced to give up their ‘following’. Now they worry about being ‘targeted’.
But I would suggest that there is a discerning wisdom in receiving the labels that are currently being thrown about as a means to brand (literally), isolate and destroy our natural leadership. The discernment concerns whether you, and we as a group, will accept it internally as valid. Again, I would humbly suggest that there is wisdom in turning the tables NOW by loudly labeling these agencies and individuals for the greedy, mentally ill, and dangerous malcontents they really are, or more appropriately: yahoos, knuckleheads, horse thieves, and liars.. We have long sense known what to do with horse thieves and liars.
The answer to the sages’ riddle is often strongly physical rather passively mental.
