Thought for Memorial Day

I personally thank our servicemen and servicewomen for the sacrifice they endure for protecting our country. However, Memorial Day is a day to remember our fallen soldiers. I pray that this country would appreciate what “giving all” really means as they enjoy another day of freedom.

No disrespect, David, but I find the cozy cartoon image deprecatory in the context of the sacrifices we remember this day. I think this is more appropriate --

Never Forget.

The problem is, once the veil is lifted you see the big stage, the circus, you see how the world manipulates the masses. How can you un- see what you now know?
Sitting at my sons high school graduation was another challenge. A big thank you and a round of applause was called for the three that had joined the military. Clapping i felt like such a hypocrite.
